The second Australian Mole
Episode 2

Ten contestants could stay after the mass elimination. Well... actually, 9 contestants could stay. Because one of them was sure he would be in it... because one of them is the Mole.
Challenge 1
Fiona and Shane have to guide a bus of tourists around.
Doing this, they must tell two blatent lies and two bad jokes. The tourists have
to believe the lies and they have to laugh about the joke. There are hidden camera's in the bus to see the tourists'
reactions. After the ride, the
tourists get a survey. They must give Fiona and Shane a rating. To
win the $10,000, the two must get all 'very good' or 'excellent'. The
jokes weren't very great, the lies hard to believe, but amazingly they succeeded.
They scored 9 very goods and 17 excellents.
Challenge 2
Michael
and John are locked up in a bunker in Fort Nepeon with a timebomb (a former army gun inplacement base).
There are twelve coloured wires on the timebomb. To defuse it, they must cut
four wires in the correct order. Six team members are on the outside of the fort:
Angela, Brooke, Emily, Hal, Helen and Mal.
They are told they have to find and solve 4 puzzles. Each puzzle has a number of
answers, with the correct answer giving the correct colour of the wire to cut.
The order they have to cut the wires was actually printed on the bomb, disguised
as the a manufacturer name. The two groups got their
puzzles right, but Hal stuffs up the next challenge by taking a piece of
wire in a drain thinking it had something to do with the game. But it didn't.
They were clearly told to look for a puzzle and not a wire. They
all race to the underground cell were John and Michael are trying
to defuse the bomb. The two don't see the extra clue on the side of the bomb
(PYRO). The bomb blows and makes a really cool explosion. Ten thousand
gone!
Challenge 3
The final challenge of the day was to choose one person who
deserves a free pass. They draw names out of a hat and Shane wins. They must
dive down and retrieve keys from the bottom of the water. There are 10 keys (6
of them open red boxes and 4 of them open blue boxes) The group must determine
the order that everyone dives in, including Shane. The group must swing
the odds in their favour so when they tell Shane to dive in, he is more likely
to open a blue box. If he opens a blue box the group win money for the
kitty, but if he opens a red box he gets the free pass. The group lets 5 people
dive first and then they decide to let Shane go. The 5 collected 4 keys
to open red boxes and 1 to open a blue box. So Shane has a chance of 2 to
5 he will have a key for red box in order to win the free pass (=exemption).
Luckily for him, he gets one. The group doesn't win any money, but Shane
is sure he'll be in the next episode.
Suspicions
Suspicious
Hal and Helen run past their puzzle and then
find a red wire claiming that's the answer to the puzzle.
Mal and Angela get their puzzle wrong.
John and Michael don't see the clue on the
bomb which tells them the order to cut the wires.
Hal leads the group in the wrong direction when
looking for the bunker.
Shane does poorly as a tour guide making Fiona
do all the work. Shane didn’t seem a really good liar during his tour
guide challenge. No one believed his stories! He should know better as an
advertising executive. And he says he wants to become a full time performer, but
he didn’t even make people laugh with his bad jokes.
Shane picks up a red key, so he gets a free pass to the next episode. Did
he know which key was the right one before he dived into the water?
Brooke is very quiet! We don’t hear her say anything (!) in the first
episode, and even in the second one, she doesn’t seem to talk a lot.
