Day 20
After dinner, the players are instructed to go to their rooms and stay there. However Kathryn and Steve both went to Jim's room. They had to pay $20,000 out of the pot for that. They now have a total of $350,000.
The viewers get to know about an alliance. Since day 3 Jim and Steve have been working together. They make themselves supicious so others think they're the Mole. Steve says Jennifer's elimination was a result of it.
For their next challenge they are taken to a fortress, where they have to defend a glaas bowl, illuminated by two spotlights. If the bowl gets knocked over by the attackers, or one of the spotlights doesn't work anymore, the challenge is lost. So they have to guard the power boxes too. They have to guard the bowl til the sun rises again. The attackers have no weapons, but the contestants have paintball guns. If they pass, they'll win $60,000.
Charlie suggest to give up one of the power boxes and to defend the more important things. Kathryn agrees, but the rest of the group doesn't like the idea. The players are spread over the fortress. A bit later the attackers arrive with a helicopter and go to their command post.
Charlie guards the first power box, Steve the second. Kate uses the big spotlight on the roof, Kathryn guards the bowl and Jim is at the main entrance of the fortress.
The Mole has contact with the attackers and gives them important information.
At 11 pm the attackers make their move. Kate spots some of them with her spotlight. Steve runs after a guy in a jeep, trying to shoot him. A number of flares are fired as a diversion. Then Kate tell Charlie there's someone at the corner of the fortress, but Charlie heads to the opposite direction. The attacker can get past Jim, enters the building, surprising Kathryn. He knocks over the bowl. It turns out Kathryn had forgotten to take the safety off the gun. Kate tells the others that Charlie didn't follow her instructions and Charlie answers back in a very rude way. He says he did listen and did go the right way, although this isn't true. Kathryn feels responsible and starts to cry. Kate comforts her and tells her the entire team is to blame.

Day 21
They are taken to a public library to test their knowledge of literature. They get 8 questions which lead to a book with a ticket in it.
