Day 7
The contestants travel to Spain. In the car there's a slight
argument between Charlie and Kate. They arrive at the hotel.
The next morning they are taken to a secret location along the road and have to
find their way to the next challenge. Each player has to go in a bullring and
fight a small bull. If they can all avoid the bull 2 times with the cape, they
win $75,000. For every tienta they do, they get an extra $5,000. A tienta is
getting the bull on the ground.
Henry goes first. He avoids both charges of the bull and can perform a
tienta easily. When it's Charlie's turn, kate yells he just has to
imagine the bull is her. Charlie avoids the charges and then wants to go
for the tienta, but get
s
hit by the bull.
Kate is next. She falls after the first charge of the bull, but still is
able to succeed. Steve wants to go last to make sure evryone will go. Jennifer
doubts about his reason for going last. She is next and the bull charges her and
drags her down. She can get up and performs a tienta. Then it's Wendi's
turn. She gets some help of the matador and succeeds in avoiding two charges. Jim
too avoids the bull twice, just as Kathryn. Steve is last. He
grabs the bull in its first charge and easily does a tienta. So there were three
tientas. The total of the pot now is $200,000. Afterwards they have a great
fiesta, but it gets less great as Charlie starts calling Kate some
names. It's obvious he doesn't like her, but do you have to pick on her in the
open?
Day 8
The group has to choose three people: One who is fearless, one
with a winning smile and one who everyone trusts with their belongings. Henry,
Charlie and Jennifer are chosen. They have to wash the other
contestants' clothe
s.
They have 8 bags of laundry and each bag has to be washed at a different place.
The laundry must be done by 8.00 pm to win $10,000. They get a dictionary. They
can wash the first load at a running reservoir. After that they have to get help
from the locals, which isn't easy, because no one wants to help them. Eventually
they do find a place, where they can wash the second bag of laundry. At 6:45 pm,
they already have washed 7 of the 8 loads. They think they're almost done as Jennifer
suddenly finds a pair of unwashed socks in the bottom of Charlie's bag.
Now they have to go all the way back to the house where they had washed Charlie's
laundry. And they also have to get the final load washed and dried before 8.00
pm. Luckily, at 7:45 pm, all laundry is done and they win $10,000.
During that challenge, the others have had a rather unpleasant challenge. Each
contestant has topick an envelope with a challenge on it. Then they have to roll
the dice. If they throw 1 to 3, they have an easy challenge, but 4 to 6 is a
little bit harder. Three of the tasks have to be completed to win $40,000. The
contestants don't know in advance whether the others did their challenge or not.
Steve goes first. He picks an envelope: '1 to 3: paint a nude portrait. 4
to 6: pose nude'. Steve throws a ... 5. He sighs but eventually say
s
he'll do it. He is taken to the artist. Steve asks how he is supposed to
pose. We don't see anything yet, 'cause the next shot is of Jim, who has
picked the envelope:' 1 to 3: cast one leg; 4 to 6: cast both legs'. Jim
asks how long he has to wear the casts. Anderson tells him it's until the next
day.
Then we see Steve again, who changed his mind and decided not to pose
nude.
Jim rolls the dice and has a ... 5. He says he has never ever worn a cast
before, he decides to do it and is taken to the doctor, who is already preparing
the cast.
Meanwhile, the others (Kathryn, Wendi and Kate) are told
about the two possible challenges Jim and Steve have to do, but
they aren't told whether they did it or not. They think that wearing casts
wouldn't be that b
ad.
Kathryn:'1 to 3: dye your hair; 4 to 6:shave your head.'. Unfortunately
for Kathryn, she rolls a ... 4. She absolutely doesn't want to shave her
head, because she gets married in a few months.
Now that Steve and Kathryn have refused the challenges, it's up to
Jim, Wendi and Kate to win this challenge.
Wendi:'1 to 3:wear a ball and chain; 4 to 6: wear a stockade until
tomorrow.' Wendi rolls a ... 4. She decides to wear the thing. It's a
weird thing and it's rather uncomfortable.
Kate is last. She can do all 4 challenges. She doesn't know whether the
others have succeeded, but if they do and she does the 4 challenges, she can win
an additional $40,000. If they others failed, she can still win $40,000 and
receive an exemption for the next execution. She rolls the dice four times.
She
has to pose nude, wear both legs in casts, dye her hair and wear
a
ball and chain.
That evening
the laundry team is waiting for the others. Steve shows up first and
explains them he didn't want to pose nude. Then Jim appears and he admits
he didn't go through with wearing the casts. Next is Kathryn, who tells
them she didn't shave her head. Then suddenly Wendi comes hobbling to
them in the stockade. Her neck hurts and she says the others suck for not
continueing with their challenges. Then Anderson appears and he explains how Kate
could get herself an exemption today. Everyone wonders if Kate would
shave her head, but then she appears with two legs casted, green hair, a ball
and chain and holding her portrait. So she won herself an exemption and $40,000
for the group.
Suspicion
Henry:"Wendi seems to be the least copious of all the
notetaking. She just sits back and doesn't have much to say. I don't see how she
can make it through the executions with her technique."
Wendi:"Kate has confused me because I thought she was the
Mole. Then with this last challenge I'm less suspicious of her."
Charlie:"Kate still is the Mole. Although she did get
$40,000, I think it's a throw-off of her."
Kathryn:"Jim says he doesn't think Steve is the Mole. I think
he's being played by Steve. I don't trust him at all."
Jennifer:"My hunch is that Steve was the Mole at work. For
some strange reason he opted not to be painted in the nude, which I find very
interesting for a guy that is never short of conversation when it comes to sex.
Then all of a sudden he became shy."
Charlie:"I suspect Jennifer had something to do with those
socks. She blamed me, but I think she withheld them."
