Research Notes (Wife)

Annie Roach moved out of Main River to live in Kouchibouguac with her husband Daniel Sullivan. They were farmers and raised a family of 12 children.

They had a big old farm house and barn, full of cats. They owned a table made from twigs which had a big S, for Sullivan.

Was living with them a lady named Mary who was like a housekeeper. She was shy and used to hide whenever a visitor showed up.

From her visit at Annie's, Leona Roach remembers a lively household, with boys who were helping at the farm, loved to make jokes and tell ghost stories.

In the early fifties, Annie went by train to Windsor, Ontario as her brother Anthony was visiting the family there. She could not believe all the cars driving there, and how fast they were. Anthony took her to Detroit and showed her the sites.

Annie was a quiet lady and always said "Oh, my..."
