Research Notes (Wife)
Nellie grew up on the family farm in Main River, New Brunswick. She was very close to her sister Albina, who was a nurse in Boston. She came down to Boston, worked as a stenographer and rented a room at an elderly couple's house.
Bill Morrow, a Boston policeman would walk the beat because they didn't have patrol cars. When walking by where Nellie was rooming, he was invited in by the elderly couple for tea.
That began the romance between Nellie and Bill. They married and had three sets of twins and two single births.
They were living 17 Wiley Rd, Belmont, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Nellie's brother Leonard visited often and they would sit on the front porch and talk for hours. Nellie's cousin Mary Alice Hanrahan and her husband Michael Keenan along with their children came for visits, too.
In the late nineties, Eleanor, the eldest twin, was still living in the same street. In February 2006 their daughter Claire was still living in their original home
Nellie and her husband occasionally drove to New Brunswick to visit the family. They once stopped in Windsor, Ontario, where Nellie's brother Leonard was living as they were on their way to Oregon.
