Research Notes (Wife)

Alice Roach was born in Kent county, New Brunswick and immigrated to the United States in 1896. She married Alison Gorham who was born in Canada, too, and immigrated to the United States in 1890.

In 1910, they were living with their daughters Mary E and Madeline in Berlin, Coos, New Hampshire where Alison was a foreman in a paper mill.

By 1920, the family had moved to International Falls, Minnesota, where Alison worked as a foreman in a paper mill. His draft registration card for WWI says he worked as superintendant or wood department for what looks to be Marion Power and Energy in International Falls.

On 1930 census, Alice was a widow and was still living at 523 Fifth St in Internatnional Falls, Minnesota, with her daughter Mary.
