Research Notes (Husband)

In 1861, Martin Roach was 29. He was living on the land granted to the Roaches, run by his brother Anthony.

By 1871, he had moved next door, into a house where his mother and brother were living too.

Then, there is no tracing Martin in records during 20 years. We are still trying to find proof he married Jane Chrystal and fathered David Roach, an only son.

In 1891, Martin is located again in Weldford parish. He was living with his nephew's family in law, the Harnetts. 10 years later, he was living with his niece’s family in law, the Hanrahans.

He is buried in Chapel Point cemetery, in the same plot as his brothers Anthony and Joseph.
