Chatham Class Light Cruiser

Displacement (tons): 5,400 Dimensions (feet): 457 x 49.10 x 17.8 Propulsion: Parsons Turbines, 25,000 hp, 2 shafts Max. Speed (knots): 25.5 Armament: 8 x 6-inch, 1 x 3-inch, 4 x 3pdr, 2 x MGs, 2 x 21-inch torpedo tubes Complement: 430 No. Name Commissioned Notes/Fate -- Chatham 26/1/21 Returned to RN 5/25. Broken up 1926. Note: Built by Chatham, UK., completed in November, 1911 and of similar design to HMAS Adelaide (I)

Speed (knots): 29 Armament: 6 x 6-inch, 3 x 4-inch, 4 x 3pdr, 2 x 2pdr, 2 x MGs, 12 x 21-inch torpedo tubes Complement: 217 (as built) No. Name Commissioned Notes/Fate I92 Diomede 21/1/26 Returned to RN 20/10/35. (WWII) Broken up after WWII. I93 Dunedin 10/5/24 Returned to RN 15/2/1937. (WWII) Sunk by U-boat 24/11/1941. Note: Diomede built by Vickers, UK. and completed on 24/4/22. Dunedin built by Armstrong, UK. and completed in 1919.

Grimsby Class Sloops

Complement: 217 (as built) No. Name Commissioned Notes/Fate L36 Leith 1934 Returned to RN 25/8/39. (WWII) Transferred to Denmark 1949. L65 Wellington (I) 1935 Returned to RN 25/8/39. (WWII) Trans'd to Master Mariners 1947. Note: Both built in UK and completed in 1934 and 1935 respectively.
