Some people join book clubs...those people are usually 40+ year old women.  I don't remember the last time I read a book, but I listen to CD's from start to finish on a daily basis.  I'm not trying to get you to join a book club, or a CD club for that matter.  There's just a lot of CD's out there that I believe people need to listen to.  So I've created this listening page, where I will recommend a CD every week that people should listen to.  Some weeks I will recommend a series of CD's to listen to that will follow a general theme.  Check here frequently to see what is the recommended weekly listen, and be sure to give the CD a piece of your mind on the Rate It page.

If you have a recommended listen, or a series you would like people to hear, submit it on the
Request page.  This is highly recommended as there's a lot of music I'm not aware of.

The theme of this week's listen is the now dead Rapcore.  I can't be the only one who enjoyed this genre.  Even though it was disliked by many, you must admit, there was some pretty decent music to come out of it.  So check out these four CD's and listen to what I believe to be the essential rapcore CD's of the rapcore era...may it rest in peace. ENJOY!
P.O.D: "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown"

The Most popular of the four, this CD had great commercial success, with multiple hit singles.  A listen through this entire CD will provide a taste of what was the epitamy of the Rapcore genre.  Heavy music with aggressively rapped vocals.

.rod laver: "Trying Not to Try"

Probably the most underrated rapcore band in the era, and most underrated CD.  .rod laver's Trying Not to Try is a solid album from start to finish.  Alongside fine musicianship, Rudy's voice provide some of the most brutal rapcore vocals of the times.

Pillar: "Fireproof"

Ask a fan of pillar what their best album was, and Fireproof will be their answer 9 times out of 10.  This album broke Pillar through to the mainstream with their hit "Fireproof."  Check this cd out, its solid the whole way through.
