A bit about this chapter's founding mother...
Laura Strathman Hulka created this chapter of Project Linus when she realized two things: her family would disown her if any more afghans appeared on the backs of the furniture, AND that there were many ill and unhappy children who needed something special of their own.
She is the mother of two, David, 20 and Rebecca 21. Married for 28 years to Ed, she is also a recent first time grandmother, when Rebecca and her husband Michael gave birth to Xavier in June, 2001. She is also proud to be a member of the sandwich generation, having her mother Miriam, 87, living with them in rural McEwen TN.
