The students will not have homework every night, but they will have it, and they must do it. On the nights there is no written homework, the assignment is to read. Homework assignments are not simply to be done, but to be done well. Homework must have the proper heading, it must be written in blue or black pen, it must be neat and organized, but most of all COMPLETE. Students are also expected to complete one Reading Journal Entry per week based on the novel he/she is reading. Homework must be handed in on time in English class. Homework may be handed in 1 day late for 1/2 credit but will not be accepted after that. If the student is absent, he/she has the number of days to make up the assignment that he/she was absent. It is the responsibility of the student to get the missing work. Remember that homework is posted on the Gallagher Middle School website daily. The students also have classmates' phone numbers incase there are any further questions about the assignment.
