The Urinal
I attended Emory University for 3 years. This is, obviously less than the traditional 4 but still, I think, a fairly long period of time. At Emory there is the DUC (pronouced duck) which stands for something. (Yes I do know what it stands for. No I won't tell you) There is a bathroom in the DUC that over the course of my 3 years I must have used hundreds of times. It was a convienient place to empty the bladder before meals (and honestly who like to eat with a full bladder) Some clever person must have realized this fact (the one about people not eating on a full bladder not the one about my personal pissing habits) and put a sign in front of the urinal in order to capture the attention of those who pee. For three years I estimate I read this sign an average of once a day. Repeatedly last year I came back to visit. And I read it a few time each. Conservatively as of August 27th of this year I had actually read this particular sign between more than 500 but less than 800 times. So I dropped by Emory recently. And I paid a visit to this same bathroom for the (let's just call it) 648th time and I read the sign for the (as were claiming because it's on the right order of magnitude and I like the sound of it) 648th time. And suddenly it hit me almost, but not quite, like a kick in the head it's an ad for the Emory Women's Center.
