New ArchivesRamon is one of the this year's BPI Science Awardees 01/18/2004 Rizalian Ramon Antonio Ruperto was one of the three Sillimanians to be awarded by the Bank of the Philippine Islands for their academic excellence as BPI Science Awardees last January 15. The other two were Ryan Locsin and Nigel Po. BPI Senior Vice President Ms Elvira Mayo presented the three with a plaque, an ATM account containing P25,000, and an employment offer with BPI. Their names will also be inscribed in the BPI bronze tablet. A graduating Information Technology student, Ramon's project is entitled "Constructing an online campus tour for Silliman University", and is intended to provide a 360-degree web-based tour around Silliman to any visitor on-line. The BPI Awards is given annually to three outstanding students from each of the 10 BPI Foundation's partner leading institutions in the country to recognize and give incentives for their excellence in their respective specialized fields of science, namely, mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry, biology, and computer science.
