Heidelberg
We went to Heidelberg by train, shortly after Nate's parents did in March 2006. I was pregnant at the time, and just enough so that we didn't stay in Heidelberg long. We walked from the trainstation to the castle, which was an ok walk but quite a climb. The castle was worth it though. It was impressive, and the castle grounds were expansive. From the grounds there was an excellent view of the city, the old bridges, and the hills across the river. We paid to get into the castle only to find that everything was closed. It was pretty much a waste. On the way back from the castle we saw some interesting buildings, but I was tired and hungry, so we stopped by a McDonald's near the trainstation and headed home.
