8/7/05 - Cobby hit a Grand Slam. 7/31/05 -Gally gets the win - just about everyone hit. Brewers took a 3 run lead early but the Dogs took this one back 18-5. 7/24/05 - Cobby gets another win and Gally gets the save. RiverDogs took a 3 run lead early and held on to win 3-2. 7/17/05 - The Pirates put up a formidable fight in game one before the Dogs returned to winning form in a 10-8 victory. Gally pitched a complete game...Game two came as the preheat light went out on the oven and Cobby stuck it out in this 5 inning, 14-3 win. Due to hallucinations of winged bats and heat stroke I don't recall the details...you all know what you did and I thank you for picking me up!! 7/10/05 - Astros beat Dogs 8-7. 6/26/05 - The RiverDogs were shutout 2-0 by the Angels today at Phoenix Field. Pitching was good on both sides - Gally went nine. Defensive misques and poor hitting lowlighted this game for the Dogs. 6/19/05 - The RiverDogs defeated the Brewers 13-1 in a woodbat game in which everyone hit! Cobby hurled another great game. Axe (the splits, the scoop and the grab), McDog (super arm from the corner) and Larry (game ending line drive snatch) stood out defensively. Jonathan tried to run to first on his knees...didn't quite make it. Change of plans!! There will be a father's day get together at Rusch Park after the 6/19 WOODBAT game (NOT AT STEVE VERES' HOUSE!!) so don't just bring your beers - also bring some BBQ, cold cuts, chips and the like and we'll spend a little time and eat some dog food together!! Dad's bring your kids if you got 'em. 6/12/05 - The RiverDogs were defeated by the Giants today 9-7. 6/5/05 - The RiverDogs defeated the newly formed Pirates in both games of a double header today. GallyDog pitched game one, Cobby in the nightcap - everybody hit. Major league props to the Pirates for playing 8, playing hurt and playing catchup double headers all year...takes guts - see you again on 7/17. The RiverDogs are signed up in the MSBL Summer Season. For those of you on the fence - get with Larry. 5/28 thru 5/30/05 - Aronson, Axe, Veres, Webb and Wright represented the Dogs in the NABA Las Vega$ Tournament by joining forces with fellow SacNaba Valley Cats. Dogs represented well with key hits at key times and three starting pitchers...and yes there were a couple of "Dogs" innings - good and bad. We took the Championship Runner up trophys. 5/22/05 - The RiverDogs were defeated by the Astros Sunday ending a six game winning streak. 5/15/05 - The RiverDogs defeated the Angels 11-2 at Playfields in Davis upping thier record to 6-0 on the season. "Aluminum" Larry and GallyDog's bats stood out. Cobby and GallyDog pitched this 9 inning game which was lowlighted by more ejections than a falling fighter jet. The RiverDogs have a bye this week - May 8th, for Mother's Day The RiverDogs defeated the Brewers 11-0 - Gallagher got the shutout. Paulie pitched the nightcap win 15-4. Notables - Gallagher smacked plenty of RBI's to support his cause. Axe and Larry knocked triples. Scrap finally played. Plently more - too much to mention - you all know what ya' did. Good goin' Dogs!! The RiverDogs defeated the Giants 6-3. Cobby pitched 7 innings and hit a 2 run homer to support his cause. Webb showed off some leather at short. McMahon brought his bat. The RiverDogs have a bye this week due to being scheduled against the New Team yet to be formed. The RiverDogs decisively defeated the Astros 14-4 at Bryant Stadium in Marysville Sunday. Paulie got the win pitching 5 innings. Dogs offense continued to dominate in this win scoring every inning. The RiverDogs decisively defeated the Angels in the season opener 11-0 at Peterson Field in Rancho Cordova benieth the ominous clouds of an oncoming rain storm. GallyDog pitched a complete game shutout while the Dogs offense took center stage in this win scoring every inning but one.
