You need to give the other player time to dodge, jump, parry, or hide behind a large object. But good rpers will most times let at least some of the spell hit them, otherwise it’s really no fun at all to roleplay with you. The same goes for punching/hitting/kicking/dumping potions on (ahem) It does not matter if you play multiple characters, if you powerplay it is still a roleplay sin. So regardless of who you play and how many characters you have, you must follow this rule like everyone else.
2. I hereby okay some swearing. But please if you are really going to go around f****** people and getting all hard core, please warn us, some people are highly offended by the simplest of expletives. Swearing can be good for emphasis now and then, but not every sentence. We aren’t Scottish you know (sorry, no offense to all those Scottish people out there, please don’t kill the American) but we are teens. In the seventies. New found freedom…yeah.
3. Hogsmeade is prohibited unless it is a designated Hogsmeade weekend. No exceptions, enough said.
4. Let us remember we are not hipsters, we are students. Slang is not in our vocabulary. No “sup homeskillet” “Dude, what up my soul sista’?” or anything else will be tolerated. Questions? Ask me.
5. Stars are only okay in OOC, during the roleplay there will be no:
Jesus *walks in and smites people* Yo *sits down* (Excuse the religious reference, no I am not a hard core Christian.)
6. NO ONELINERS, EVER!! Sorry kids, but it’s getting out of hand. I really want this rp to become a learning experience so that everyone becomes a better roleplayer. I can understand writers block, but this is not a fast moving roleplay, so chill out. I would prefer if posts were upward from the two paragraph mark.
7. So, superpowers are strictly prohibited, at the moment we are only accepting normal students, no animagi, werewolves, vampires, half veelas, veelas, sirens, unicorns, mermaids, metamorphagi (unless you are Tonks, but she’s already taken ^^) drag queens, or whatever other crazy stuff you people can come up with. Seriously, what is wrong with a normal kid? My character is a normal kid…oh, and no necromancers, it wouldn’t work on the Hogwarts premise anyway.
7. Ah, the broom closet. Please, know how to roleplay romance if you decide to take it there. Mind you it is a closet, so it’s small. There will be none of: Mary: kisses Joe, “I love you Joe!”. Joe: Kisses Mary back “I love you too Mary”. No that is just plain wrong. Do it right people. I’m sure that Mai would be able to help you out a bit. Plus there is no such thing as a private board, anyone 3rd year and up can and will have access to your make-out session. It makes it more fun that way, to catch people I mean.
8. You may ask why there are two number sevens, answer, I have no clue.
9. Please, I know there is romance, but try your hardest to keep love hexagons to a minimum, it just gets to angsty drama soap opera ish. There will be no desperate or perfect characters allowed. There is need for a plot, but I will blow the whistle when it gets to be too desperate/Mary Sue/ Gary Stu ish.
10. If you cuss out the Admins, or GMs as we prefer to be called, you will be punished. Heed us, we own your souls ^_^
