Description
Without any physical exercise Alex‘s body is easily that of average, but with his obsessive running his body has radically lost the baby-fat from last year and developed into the sleek form of a swimmer’s body. With lithe limbs lightly muscled, he stands a 5 foot 10, but due to his bad posture he often appears to be more around 5 foot 8 inches. His skin is the very light tan that bans him from becoming a goth, but never tans to be any darker. Instead his skin freckles with UV light. Through growing older the freckles have slowly faded, and now the majority of them are located as a healthy dusting on his shoulders and arms. His hair is just brown enough not for him to be considered a red-head or blonde. Previous of last years class induced turquoise color change it had been much more of a shaggy blonde, but something in the potion reacted to his pigmentation and it‘s much darker than last year, despite the summer highlights. It‘s cut currently is the careless hacking of functionality as not a buzz cut, but not so shaggy as to hang on neck or in eyes. His facial structure is rather normal, with something of a strong nose, and a soft male strength that is rather normal and enough not to label him beautiful nor ugly. Well, that is if someone manages not to notice his eyes. Outlined in eyelashes thick enough to make most girls jealous, Alex‘s most prominent trait would be his aquamarine eyes and the veins that run through his iris‘. The rivulet’s last year were well known for their rapid color changing to indicate Alex‘s mood. However, with an extremely calming summer of much thinking, the veins have lost the majority of their color wheel changes, and now stay at a tone similar to spring green, but slightly less neon and more with a gentle tint of gray. They still do, however, change when one certain emotion is prominent (~__^). As far as physical habits go, he doesn‘t have many, although another summer development is that he now chews on his nails, not the vicious rip, but just a content gnawing that does nothing to the nail, but calms nervous nerves.
Persona
Alex are one of those rare people that need to be reminded to have fun, and then in the same day be told that they‘re having too much fun. He can be rather shut off, unless he something in mind. There has to be inspiration for introducing himself, going to Hogsmead, and other such social situations. When he puts his mind to the task he is a very much a Ravenclaw and can be rather daunting in his passion for completing assignments. Often seen running around at the last minute to accomplish projects many suspected him of being a slacker last year, but on the contrary he is a perfectionist who could spend his life aiming for the stars and never realized he‘s made it. With something of a neurotic past, he can be extremely sensitive to other‘s emotions and at the same time completely blind by his expectations. He‘s not fond of waiting on others, and in that respect classes can be extremely boring for him. No task is too big for him if he puts his mind to it. Through excessive self-awareness and low self confidence Alex has reached the point where he really couldn‘t give an rat‘s bum for what his peers think of him. It‘s very much different, however for those he considers close friends. He can also be painfully secretive.
History
I‘ll try to make this as painless as I can.
Normal childhood, slightly deprived of excitement and love. Goodygoody until he got into a bad crowd who really wasn‘t that bad, but just reckless enough to completely screw up Saul (Alex‘s real name). Lover-boy managed to fall in love with the leader of the pack, making him gay/bi. Leader screwed Saul, managed to get himself killed and made clear in his dying moments that in no way did he love Saul. Saul goes through major angst and renames himself as Alex and adopts new personal image. This angst of last year. However, with a series of interesting events he is now relatively angst free and ready to take the world on again as Saul once more. However some of the habits he picked up as Alex he still clings to, which sometimes leads to a personality split. The whole angst event strongly distanced him from his parents, so a lot of his relationships with others are that he has with his peers and friends. There‘s more, but I think that‘s suitable.
Style
On a whole his clothing styles have clamed at bit from last year as well, and are now more of the norm with little details to make him unique. Really whatever fits and isn‘t too hideously ugly (well, it depends on who‘s decided :3).

Talents
As far as academics and magic go, Alex is spectacular at medicinal and shielding spells. His thirst for knowing more and more in those two fields have left him with an extensive knowledge of the two, and an undrenched thirst for more. For hobbies and such, Alex isn‘t exactly a particularly strong swimmer, but definitely he looks his most graceful and composed when in the water. When put in extreme situations he can handle himself well, if he isn‘t too emotionally tied to something… that makes it hard sometimes. He‘s definitely not a leader, but if given a mission he will take the initiative to accomplish it.
