Can you define crime
do you really think that somebody can
or do you blindly believe and trust those men
who say that they know everything
and that the only way to go is
to increase the production
of bombs guns and heavy war artillery
and correction facilities
for those who dare to cross the line
and smoke a joint and practice making love not war

Live your life and behave well
don't trust no one with your dreams
because every day those men try
to make somebody inform against someone
and suddenly you are an informant who has to pay
a very high price which is your pride

Can you define crime
or do you really think that somebody
can do it for you and decide
what would be the best life for you
when they at the very same time
don't do anything to prevent the real danger
the pollution of everything we see eat and breed
the housing problem the unemployment and health care
and what about the old people who built this land
they stuff them like chickens
and let them wait for the end
so don't you come and tell me about crime my friend
because I have used q-tips in my ears
and I have also opened my tired eyes
and so should you
so maybe you would understand
all those pretty well told lies

or do you prefer to let somebody do it for you
so maybe someday they can put you away
since you cant live up to their high standard
and live after their perfect moral codex
can you define life
or do you really want someone else living for you
in every possible way
can you define yourself
or don't you exist
