FROM ALL AROUND

I am living in a house with a great view
I can see most of the world
right from my favorite chair
in my living room
but there is something that is totally wrong
because I have to use my imagination
if I want to see true colors and happy faces
if I just look straight at it
it is only a desert out there
a place where nobody takes any care
and only they who are strong and gruesome
have a chance to survive
because there are only small traces left of love
love for ourselves and our world

It comes to me all of the time
from my TV
ruined lives built upon lies
can't you see it too

I am living a life based upon Hollywood luck
because we all have been told and shown
that a big house with a swimming pool
is the top of the world
but there is something important missing
from inside of me
I can't find any joy or laughter
there is only tristesse and disaster
and I think that it has been here
since the very day
I was born into this materialistic world
and I have always known
when people tried to tell me
some stupid lie
black or white
a lie is a lie
I would rather prefer to die
than to disrespect myself the whole time

I am living in a house with a great view
at the top of the hill
but I am living a sort of life
that is not so good
when it comes to the end
it will surely mark me
but it is the only one I have
so I will try the best I can
to understand the meaning
because the years go so incredibly fast
and there is nothing I can do about it
and soon my time will come
when I shall be buried in the great wood
and meet my manitou
and finally be totally free to live my life
the way I want in my heart
