Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a word in Sanskrit Language. The literal meaning of the word is knowledge about life, derived from "Ayur (Life) + Veda (Knowledge)". Ancient Indian literature sources contain references to this subject, which describes the complete anatomy of human life and its associated static and dynamic behavior. The one important aspect is about maintaining the ideal metabolic balance in our physical body for a healthy life. The methods inherited from these sources applied for treatment are unique and are useful for all the people.

A great indian saint known as "LORD DHANVANTARI" made the formal methodologies for various treatments using herbs. He is also known as the Father of Ayurveda. All the principles of treatment have been derived from the rules as quoted by "LORD DHANVANTARI" in the form of "Slokas"(A Sanskrit word, synonymous to 'Stanza' in English) found in various sanskrit books on this subject.
