Why they call me Rishikesh?

Well its a long story why I am being called Rishikesh. Don't worry am not going to put you
through a long story. Actually when i was born in 1977, couple of months earlier my grand mother
had been to Rishikesh and Haridwar temples. And she liked the place Rishikesh a lot. So she
wanted to name me "Rishikesh". And thats how it is? I take this opportunity to tell you little bit
about Rishikesh. The temple not me. :-)
Rishikesh is one of the most popular pilgrim centres and gateway to the Himalayan Shrines of
Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The Yoga Centres of Rishikesh have enhanced
the significance of the place. From this point on, the great Ganges leaves behind her mountain
home and enters the vast plains of Northern India.
