| Theo Van Rysselberghe (1862-1926) |
| In Belgium Van Rysselberghe is one of the main artists of the period, next to Ensor, Knopff, Margritte or Delvaux. With Seurat and Signac he is one of the neo-impressionists. His friends - whom he represented in his paintings - are fellow painters and writers from the late 19th century : Edmond Picard, Andr Gide, Paul Signac, Emile Verhaeren and H-E Cross. A beautiful exhibition will take place in the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Spring 2006. BOZAR Palais des Beaux-Arts - Brussels. <Some images.> |
