| Ghosts of Manilla Mark Kram Mark Kram does a brilliant job in this book expressing the realism of these two historical sports figures. He delves in why Frazier still to this day dislikes Muhammad Ali and also why Ali did and said what he did to Frazier. Kram engages the reader and gives us the inside look at this world famous trilogy which culminates with their final brutal affair in Manilla. It is a realtively easy read, and it is also easy to follow. This book is definite must read for all boxing fans and I would also recommend it for all sports fans as well. A tremendous book. Read it. Sugar Ray Dave Anderson and Sugar Ray Robinson This is the autobiographical tell of arguably one of the greatest pure athletes of the 20th century and probably the greatest fighter ever pound 4 pound. Sugar Ray, with the help of Anderson, gives the reader his accounts of the events in his life. From his amateur career, his military stint, his relationships with Ali and Louis and also he miraculous ring efforts. Every boxing fan should have this book in his or her library. Robinson was a special fighter, and he should definitely not be forgotten. |
