The decorations you place in your reptile habitat do two things. First they make a pleasing presentation for you to look at. Second they should provide for the needs of your pet.
Decorations can include plants, caves, branches, logs and stones. What every it is that you place in the enclosure should be sturdy and able to take the abuse your pet is going to give it. It should also be non-toxic, pest free and easily cleaned.
Live plants can add a natural look to a tropical or forest habitat. Many of them can be toxic or damage easy underfoot. Research the plant before you use it. Know the toxicity, light, soil, moisture and temperature requirements. Using fertilizer can be toxic.
