Riley just turned 22-months-old on October 22.  She is so incredibly smart, which I know is what all parents think of their children.  Riley says so many words now that I've lost count.  She picks up new words every day and uses them correctly.  She's so amazing!  Shes just absorbing everything!

Riley still loves to draw.  I think its her favorite thing to do.  She also loves to play with puzzles and she learns them very fast.  And of course, she loves to play outside and go for walks.  She's always asking to go for walks.

We have been so blessed that I am now caring for Riley full-time.  It is so wonderful to be a full-time mommy.  I am loving every minute of it.  I just love watching her grow and learn new things every day.  I have so much fun watching her have fun.  I am definitely enjoying every minute of it!

Riley has a fistula (a reopening in the palate after surgery), which is towards the front of her hard palate.  Her surgeon said that as long as it is in the hard palate, is not causing her any problems and is not causing her any speech problems, then the repair can wait until her bone graft at age 6.  That was good news, but I still hate the fact that she has to have her palate repaired again.

Riley also has a lump on the underside of her right pinky finger, which is one of the fingers where a band was released.  Her hand surgeon said that it's probably a cyst that has grown after surgery.  She wants to wait as long as possible to remove it because it is very close to a nerve but said that if Riley starts to complain about it or it gets bigger, then she will remove it.  I'm happy to hear that she does not have to have surgery right now but I'm still very concerned about it and will continue to keep an eye on it.

I painted Rileys toenails for the first time.  She saw her aunt painting her toenails and of course, Riley had to have hers done too.  I used a very pale pink color and painted her 8 toenails.  It is so cute.

Riley is just an overall wonderful little girl.  She is very well behaved, (of course, she has her little tantrum every now and then) and very happy and playful.  We are so grateful to be blessed to have such a lovely angel as our daughter.
