This page covers the basics of Wicca - the beginner things. It is important to have a clear understanding of these basics that often make up the foundation of Wicca before moving on to advance. Of course, within general Wicca, without traditions, there are no "stages" or "degrees." You get into that when you get into traditions. This page is about getting to know the general gist of what the Wiccan religion and way of life is all about. Before getting into spellcrafting and technicalities of ritual, a full understanding of much of this is a good idea. Not to say that spells will not be successful without knowing this stuff, or that ritual will be a fluke, but you should know exactly what is going on and the science behind it all and ritual will probably have a deeper meaning if you understand the underlying concepts. |
