(our_report) The Wonders and the Raiders fought over three games, with the Wonders winning the first and the Raiders winning the second two. All three games were close in score and both teams played hard! Great Game Raiders AND Wonders!!!

It treated the LOLers much better than the Liz^ards apparently, since the overall turnout was tipped in our favor. Thanks to Nacho, Light, Doc and many others for their persistence and thanks to Vi2k our monitor who kept everything smooth despite the chaotic circumstances! We started with a LOLead on dead pop and rock stars 5-1, and pretty much carried it away straight to the end. Lady showed up for the Lizards, but wound up scoring one for us on a double point Flintstones cat which made our lead 4 points more than what it should have been, 20-10. Thankfully this was not a determining factor in who won the game we sat down and ate a Thanksgiving feast (of fish?) to reflect on our win of 31-23! In the second game, the Liz^ards took a one point lead on us 3-2 on Road Signs, and managed to stay one point ahead thru Hotel Chains (6-7) and a double point Fairy Tales (12-13, dagny got 1, 2, and 3!!), but the LOLers had a huge sweep on things in a Donut Shop and took the lead 21-14! After that we got a Champ Round to cool down and let the smoke clear, then on Asimov books, Sandy & I each nabbed one. D occupations and words with two G's gave us our final win of 31-19. Great game Liz^ards. Always a pleasure !!! Hope the other teams had better luck with the laggin' TC than we did!

It was an awesome game. Fourplay kept it tough but rat-friendly categories gave us the game. MSM beat us to Rat in the Chinese astrology category... based on that alone, fourplay really deserved the victory here. Okay, not really... but...

There was also a lot of booting. The Six pack came out and played really tough and the Rocks just couldnt hold them off. We only lost by two points in each game loss. We will get them next time Rockers!!! Good Games All!!!!

(MVP) Sandy (our_report) LOLers were a lot a fun to play, as usual. We Liz^ards were very short-handed with only 6 members there for both games. LOLers took both games quickly. Congrats to Sandy, our MVP, with a valiant effort!!
1	(from-name) rick (date) monday (Teams_Playing) Raiders vs Wonders (game_1) Wonders 30-28 (game_2) Raiders 30-26 (Game_3) Raiders 30-27 (roll_call) reece, nobimbo, murph, iona_traylor, liss, ps299, jloughman, tbear, littlewing, rick (MVP) reece (our_report) Talkcity was the cyber twilight zone monday night with nearly everybody having screen freeze problems and players from both teams were regularly getting booted in an out. these were 3 of the best games i have ever played in and its a shame that someone had to lose because both teams were evenly matched. athena killed us in game 1, dominating the agatha christie cat to give the wonders a 6-1 lead. We could never make up those 5 points, we cut it to 24-25 wonders going into the last cat, but thats as close as we got and the wonders won 30-28. Game 2 saw the teams never separated by more than 4 points. The lead changed several times, we were tied at 23 all going into the last cat and we showed our knowledge of the boy scout ranks and took game 2 30-26. Game 3 saw the lead change every round. we took a 7-3 lead on aretha franklin songs, wonders took a 10-9 lead on things associated with a hospital. wonders held a 15-13 lead after the stephen king ! cat. we went up 19-18 on vitamins and minerals. wonders went back up 24-23 on colleges. Raiders pulled it out 30-27 on things tourists carry. helluva game wonders, and we look forward to another great game with them down the road.
