If you missed this one, shame on you for six weeks.
The Ridic Players Club Cup Bowl Series IV was as close as it was exciting.
The LOLers had a 1 point lead after the first cat but were just blown away in the next 5 and lost Game 1 to the Rockers 32-22.
In Game 2 the LOLers led after the first cat, Lynyrd Skynyrd by the whopping score of 2-1 but never looked back for a 35-21 win.
Game 3 started out ominous for the LOLers. Bot gave us the States of India. The Rockers must have been studying atlases and they jumped out ahead 7-3. The next cat was things associated with Horse Racing which the LOLers took 5 to the Rockers 1 tying the game at 8. The next 3 cats were incredible as each team took 5 points each for ties at 13, 18 and 23. Oxygen all around please! The 6th cat was Irish towns, the LOLers took 6 to the rockers 2 and edged ahead 29-25. The last cat was American National Wonders - the teams split 5-5 and the LOLers took home the cup - 34-30.
Thanks LOLers for a great season. I am thrilled to be a part of this team.

Congratulations to the LOL team on their victory...we took the first game, they took the second, and the third game (in the words of FlaminJune) "couldn't be closer"....but we were done in (twice) on Aretha Franklin (where was our respect?) and were on the losing end of a 5 round tie (woo hoo) with the Irish countries. Great games, great season, Seven. Rocks, what can I say? I'm always happy to see a roomful of rocks and three-seasons of first place finishes is nothing to laugh at...let's just "Rock Steady" and know you're simply the best!

Comments by Lauren: We gave it our best efforts. The LOL's prevailed. In looking at the scores, it brings to mind a number mentioned in a famous "good" book. That number is 33, and is said to be the age/number of perfection. It sure does appear to be just that (especially for the LOL's) in these 3 games. All of us members on the Rat Pack wish the best of luck to the LOL's and the Rockers in the final championship game.

I, as a Rat, have no regrets about this playoff game. It has been such an honor to play with all of you slobbering rodents. The upcoming fall season promises to be a very exciting one, where once again, we have to chance to regain our title and have a wonderful time along the way. Even though we didn't make it to the championship this time, we can still say we are the only team that claimed championship victory 2 times in a row....with a top 3 placement in every tournament season! So....Rats...let's buck up for next season and keep the slobber flowing! Here's wishing everyone a relaxing and healthy "break". See you in September.

33 seemed to be the magic number tonight, get it and you win. The Rats came out slobbering and took an early lead after two cats. The LOLers pulled to with in 2 on a double point cat - girls songs. Rats smoked us on the Beanies cat though (don't tell my wife) and went on for a 33-25 win.
Game 2 was just the opposite with the LOLers taking the early lead and poured it on with the Pigs and the Cakes cats. LOLers win 33-22.
Game 3 was all the 7's, scoring early and often. The final 33-17.
Congrats on a great season Rats and wtg LOLers - 1 more win to go.

The Rockers totally dominated game one...there was no hope except to get to the double digit mark. Game two was almost as bad with the Wonders starting off with a horribly small lead that was soon squashed.

Good luck to the Rockers and LOLers as they "go for the gold" in the championship...we'll be practicing to get ready for next season.

The ROCKS are on a mission this year....to get back that trophy!! Step one: beat the Wonders in the playoff game. Not an easy task, mind you, but the Rockers were determined! We took off to an early 8-2 lead in Things on a Tax Form (our accountants are smiling...) and never looked back the first game, which we won 34-11.

The Wonders took an early 4-5 lead in the second game after cheyenne got her wish and "Jimmy Buffett albums" appeared...but we made a comeback by "mini-sweeping" the next cat (and how we know more about Shania Twain than Jimmy Buffett is beyond this ROCK!) The next cat - Star Trek - was a gift to our twin Sci-Fi geeks (woo hoo!) and Larry let his many marriages pay off by leading us in the "Anniversary Gift" cat (Congrats Krusty for making it to 20....Larry claims to never get past the "Used Dishwasher" year!) The Wonders must have had Bot's ear, because Taz mentioned watching wrestling and WWF Champs came up next....and we pinned down the win, 34-18.

Great game, great season, Wonders and Rats....Congratulations, 7, we'll see you next week!

And to my jewel of a team, keep rocking, keep practicing, and keep howling....one more step to go. AAAAHHHHWWWWOOOO!!!!!!
