Here is a picture of the back after applying the blue tinted Epoxy. You can't really see the blue but it's there in the grain. This will have to be sanded tomorrow leaving only the epoxy in the grain. I'll start with 220 grit and move up to 400 grit. Wish me luck!
OK! Well , that was fun. I think I sanded off a few fingers. Just a warning, the epoxy is Tough Stuff. But now it's as smooth as a babies butt, not that I know what that feels like! All of the grain has been filled and it's ready for the Translucent Spray, once I receive it.
Before I forget to mention, there are a few essential things you need just to get to this stage.  A good paint mask (respirator) unless you want to die at a young age. Naphtha,(funny word isn't it?) to clean the wood prior to and after Sanding  Sanding Sealer which I forgot to tell you should be applied before and after the Epoxy, gives it a nice smooth finish and fills in any tiny imperfections, not shown  are sand paper from 150 to 2000 grit for the final finish and lots of clean rags. Rubber Glove come in handy too.
