My little sister Tamara (aka Tami) finished the first part of the Air Traffic Control program in July, and I went to her graduation. Micheal was there too, but they left her son Kyle at home.

Adam, Steph and I visited Maria and Tina downtown. They are both very smart and I find Maria's spiritual nature especially fascinating.

Me in my garden! It's 10'x10'. I planted corn (didn't work), beans (incredibly productive), peas (good), squash (productive), and carrots (good). Lise visited and added basil and chives. Next year I want to claim even more land. Really I should buy my own house and cultivate the whole lot.

Adam had a party at his awesome place in Quebec. Here are the English smoking outside: Adam, Maria, Cory, Steph, and Tina.

And here are the French smoking inside. Cory and Adam snuck in too. I've forgotten all their names (except Karine and Martine in the middle), but they were mostly versions of "Mary". Yes being at a party with Maria and Martine whacked my brain.

Robyn got married on the August long weekend. Here she is with Mr. Yates.

Robyn with the bride's maids: Colleen, Grace, Wendy, and Wendy's daughter (Kaitlin?).

Robyn and her new husband Jeff at the reception. That night I heard the best set of speeches ever. Mr. Yates characterized her "a seeker, a questioner, and a philosopher", and I thought that was perfect.

Robyn and I.

Once again I planted a sunflower fence. This shot is pretty cool because the sun behind makes the whole thing glow.

We had a blackout in Ontario in mid-August. It was no big deal for me of course: my dream is to live in the middle of nowhere without electricity, and I escape there for vacation. I barbequed chicken on the fire, with roast potatoes and corn on the cob. This meal was fit for a king!

I went to Winnipeg on September 6 for the final Beaudin farm party. On Saturday we canoed from Uncle Luc's old place, down the Assiniboine, to Uncle Vic's. Here's Uncle Luc, Kym & Haleigh, and Aunty Diane.

The weather that weekend was incredible, about 30C. Here's a bunch of canoes ahead of us. We took our time at the beginning, but my dad, Uncle Roland and I came in first at the end.

Here's the whole gang. We stopped at a sand bar halfway to rest up.

An imperfect mosaic of three pictures.

My mom and Haleigh. She can walk now!

Haleigh swimming in the river. This is a really great picture.

My mom's brothers and sisters plus some spouses: Gilbert, Estelle & Ron (my mom & dad), Diane, Sheila, Orval, Anita & Roland, Phyllis & Paul, Gilles & Lucille. Other brothers not pictured here are Guy, Florent, and Vic. I've deleted the honorifics for brevity and intend no disrespect!

After the canoe trip we had a turkey shoot (skeet shoot). Here's my dad.

And here's me! I got 1 out of 3, so not a total disaster. I'll always remember 1982, when I got 6 out 9, and came in second place. People sure did well this year. About five people got doubles.

Here's a photo of all the cousins who were there, plus a few spouses and offspring. Jason Tanguay (not Jason Legault as previously reported) is also here, who's a cousin of some my cousins. And there's a bunch more who couldn't make it! But where's Tiger? He was there that day.
