The election began the same day I returned from Spain. The Green Party found a candidate for our riding named Chris Walker. As Official Agent, I ran the campaign, coordinating efforts by volunteers from the EDA. I also put up signs in the rural part of our riding. We did about 150 signs, but most of them got stolen.

The same week I got back from Spain, they asked me to take part in a church play! Here's the rest of the cast. After the play, the father gave out copies of his book of sculptures. He also awarded sculptures to those who volunteered over the years. I was feeling envious, but then he awarded me for completing the Camino!

On June 11 we had an all-night relay for cancer research. I spent 15 minutes doing fund-raising, and got about $150 from people in my company. This picture shows the older half of the team. I got my palm read that night, and it was so accurate; she predicted a good future for me.

Bambo is getting pretty big! He likes to fight and eat from my garden, so I whack him with a stick when I catch him.

This picture shows Rich Rogers, me, my room-mate Dave, and Andy Anderson. Rich and Andy are friends from high school.

On June 17 the EDA met at Kelly's Welcome in Manotick. Speakers included Chris Walker (the candidate), Mike Nickerson (an author and important Green), and a guy from Fair Vote Canada. About 30 people showed. This is a funny picture of me with a mouth full of green beer from Chris Egan.

I went to Winnipeg on June 25 for Melanie's wedding. My parents and I stayed at Uncle Roland's. Here's a picture of us eating.

Melanie and Ken. His son is in the background.

Relatives including grandma.

Rachelle, Aunty Michelle, and Julie holding Beaudy (sp?).

More relatives.

The wedding party took the bus to the reception. People from Ontario might think that's funny, but using public transportation is very responsible.

Uncle Roland and Uncle Vic.

The tent where we had the reception. What a setup! It's the first outdoor reception I ever went to, and I liked it a lot. Of course their yard is bigger than most.

Gina and the Thompson ladies.

Melanie and her wedding party; my cousin Bruielle is looking my way. She's going to France for the year! Maybe she'll send me a post card...?

My neice Haleigh. Why do we take messy baby pictures?

My sister Tamara (Tami) and my nephew Kyle. He's a smart one; less than two and speaking in sentences.

My family.

My sister Kym, Michael and Haleigh.

Melanie and Uncle Gilles.

Haleigh, Kym, grandma, and my mom.

Me and Jason Tanguay (sp?). I beat him to the garter again!!! Third time in a row.

I went straight from Winnipeg to the Green Party election party in Ottawa. Here's me with Leah, her friend Cheryl, and her mom. Leah ran sign distribution for the EDA during the campaign.
