HOZCOMICS:
PIONEERS OF COLORIZED EDITIONS OF ITALIAN COMICS
Hozcomics, set up by Haim z, entered the Turkish comics market in June 2004 by publishing bi-weekly Renkli Teksas and Renkli Tommiks, colorized editions of Il Grande Blek and Capitan Miki. After 14 issues each, the colorized series were halted and monthly b&w series titled EsseGesse Teksas and EsseGesse Tommiks were began. Hozcomics also published 4 issues, plus one special issue, of Renkli Swing, colorized edition of Il Commandante Mark, at irregular intervals beginning with July 2004. The regular issues of Renkli Swing were colorized by Turkish artist Fatih Okta.  Eventually, Renkli Swing was also replaced by b&w EsseGesse Swing. In January 2005, Hozcomics also put out a single-issue Renkli Jungla, colorized (and this time redrawn due to redesign of format from original pocket-size) again by Okta. In 2005, Hozcomics begin to publish the monthly Bella&Bronco.
