On the 2nd May we had a lunch date with Richie at the hotel he stayed in. Family members were starting to gather by 10.00 a.m. at the lobby. We were catching up with each other on the concert the previous night. Suddenly Richie's assistant appeared walking briskly pass us. There were murmurs of 'Hey! it's Richie!' Everybody stood their ground, looking in his direction. I saw Richie. He was lowering his head and looking away from us with his cap pulled way down successfully covering his face. I recognised him by his braided hair which was visible under the cap. We all respected his privacy and nobody stepped forward to greet him or stop him in his tracks. After he left in a van, someone asked 'Did you see Tina?' She was walking behind him.' But I'm sure all eyes were on him only, nobody noticed the small-sized lady.

Later we were all given our seats and lucky draw nos. We took our buffet lunch. Richie's parents came with some other relatives. Siew Or's wife and 2 daughters (he's got pretty daughters) were also there. Richie came much later and went up on stage to greet us.

Then he went around each table to take photos and chat a few words with us - really a few words - cos there were about 20+ tables to go round. He wore a cap and sunglasses and by the time he finished he commented he was so dazzled by the camera lights. Poor Richie!

The lucky draws came. Our table had 8 Malaysian members and 3 of us got the top 3 prizes (each prize has about 5, 10 or 20 items and the best prize is a sort of mag featuring Richie's Omega shoot in New York together with Simon and Qi Qi - autographed of course).

The best part was when Siew Or came to our table and told us Richie will be coming to Malaysia in June for movie and album promotions and July for concert in Genting. We jumped up with joy! Yippee!!! We'll see Richie again very soon. As we left for home, each of us feeling happy and light-hearted, carrying this hope of seeing Richie again.
