Nat and I hung out with the Sparwassers on Friday night, got some beer and a few appetizers. Saturday Nat and I headed down to LBI, sat on the beach for a little while, etc. Saturday night we played some mini-golf (yes yes of course I won) and just finished the 18th hold when a hurricane blew through LBI. So we did what anyone else would have done: we headed to the beer store to get out of the rain. Made our purchase 5 minutes before the place closed, then walked out into a scene from Dante's Inferno (or maybe that scene in the bible with Noah's Ark). Rain blowing sideways, streetlights out, puddles that were shin deep, thunder and lightning, people running all whilly-nilly down the street, sirens blaring from the firehouse, mass hysteria! We ran the 50 or so yards to the Jeep and still got drenched. I drove home and hit puddles that sent water over the windshield and had Natalie giving her ubiquitus "be careful"s. Traffic was stopped on the boulevard for an accident and by the time it was cleared, the rain stopped. Figures. Sunday Nat and I went to the beach and worked on our tans. Solid weekend in general. Ray and Tracy are now sharing the Hencken Pleasure Palace. Congrats.

First off, congrats to Josh and Karolina on the birth of their daughter, you can see pictures of her on their web site (the link is on the index page). Down to business. On Friday night, Nat and I kept it low key and watched a movie. Saturday we picked up Evil Cable Exec A. Beach and headed up to the rolling hills of Lansdale for a dose of Wrigley hospitality and madness. And we weren't let down. Wrigley's big screen TV and U2 on DVD translates into a concert right in the rec room. Wrigs and Mrs Wrigs have themselves a nice bar down in the Copa Cabana Room: Dick & Co managed to get themselves pretty sauced up. As a matter of fact, one of the wives that was there even gave Wrigs a lap dance (I won't say who but her initials are AC). Decadent Johhny Mal made his obligatory cameo then headed out (what the hell: the guy lives there and he makes cameos??). Thayer got robbed in cards, to the delight of I'm-Still-In-Training-But-Soon-Enough-I'll-Carry-A-Gun Ian. Whew. Chrissy set up some great stuff there at the house, so big thanks to her and Jim. Not sure if the homeowners group there appreciated us putting horseshoe pits in the back, but hay: tough shit. And of course, how could I resist staring at myself for 20 minutes at a time down in the Copa Cabana room? Sunday morning, Beach gave us his Fat Bastard impersonation complete with ample amounts of feces. Way to go stinker. 'Bout it from here. Hopefully Ray and Tracy had a good move-in and everything is up and running in their salicious den (don't think I forgot about you). And still, no sign of Dan Knox...

For those of you that aren't aware, something big has been happening in H-Town: Tuesday night bowling. Fat Tony, John, Gary O'Garfsky and even Dan "I'll invite my neighbors to a party then brawl with them" Knox are coming out for it. If anyone wants to throw the ole bowling ball around a bit, let me know (email address is at the bottom of the index page). My first class toward my MBA is almost over, should do pretty well. But the real news this week is Don W's Gonzo Quoits Madness last Friday night. Few people have seen a solid quoits setup like this: lights, clay pits, the works. So a few of the guys from the steel mill and I played last Friday night, very good time (thanks again Don). We even had one of the most-est, best-est quoits players in the area out Friday: Matt "Iron Stakes" Stevenson. Saturday night Natalie and I hung out with Kristy and Tim, kept it low key. Sunday I hit the gym (you don't think a physique like mine just happens, do you?), changed the oil, washed the Jeep, blah blah blah. Probably be at the shore again next weekend, so check back for the On-Going Adventures of DickSheridan.

Did some camping this weekend with Ray, Tracy, Gary, and Natalie up in Hickory Run (part of the PA State Forrest system). Good time, Nat and I got up there LATE Friday night, had to drive around the campground trying to find our unmarked site (next to Ray and Co.). Finally found it, but had to pitch the tent on top of a solid sheet of shale (or so it seemed). Needless to say, I bent or broke half of my tent pegs. Saturday we went hiking on one of the nearby trails then headed over to Boulder Field for some more hiking. Pretty interesting: it looks like a giant stream, but instead of water, it's (are you ready for this?): boulders! Twelve feet deep and about a half mile square, it's something to try to hike across. Got back to the campsite, had some lunch then a siesta. When we got back up and made some cocktails, low and behold I see a big black blob walking along in the trees about 50 yards away. Then I realise, that's a friggin bear. I won't lie to you, I didn't try to wrestle the thing, I got some pots to bang together if we had to scare them away (it was a mother and her two cubs). They got about 30 yards from us, then kept walking along probably thinking to themselves, Damn tourists. After our little encounter with Smokey, we saw some skunk running near the site too. Gary actually woke up to one in or near his vestibul. Got up Sunday, had some breakfast, then packed it in. When I got home I spent a few hours working on a paper for my class (which ends in a week), then went to bed. Lesson of the story, if you're going camping, bring along a nice sized shotgun. A bear looks alot better on your floor as a rug than wandering a few yards from your defenseless ass while you're sucking down cocktails with your pals.

Just finished up a weekend in Pittsburg, thanks to Cathy and Chris for their hospitality. Got to see Natalie's school, Slippery Rock U and even the Rock itself (although it wasn't very slippery). Natalie's friend Jodi got married so congrats to her and her husband Kevin. Mike and Jen Sheridan had their son, Casey, so congrats to them. Whew. Natalie and I were at the beach last weekend, hit some of the bars on LBI with John and Mandy, good time. There were, of course, the obligatory appearances at The Ketch to make. Got to work on our tans (there's finally someone else on the beach that's as "light" as I am) heh heh. Fat Tony is still suffering from "bowling fever", so if anyone else has the same problem, let me know and you can meet us out for Tuesday Night Gonzo Bowling Madness. Congrats to Greg and Amanda, they moved into their first home two weeks ago. Only a few more weeks left in my class, then I have some time off before I start back up in the fall. One down, ten to go. Power player. Hopefully I'll be updating this a bit more, but you never know. Appologies to Mal and Ebo on mistakenly writiing that they "came out" together: my source was misinformed. Hope that didn't screw up your teaching career Mal.

I'm not going to make any excuses: sometimes life just gets too damn busy to update this web site. But I'm back, so simmer down (and tell a friend). Contrary to what the index page says, there's no real Avalon update. Now Big Gary O was down there this weekend for Memorial Day and came back with the following: apparently Mal and Ebo came out of a closet together. Draw your own conclusions. Big shout out to Thayer up in Strong Island, little more REO Speedwagon, eh?! Rumor is, Lidia was in town. Anyone know what happened (ie score)? And of course the celeb magazines are making a big deal out of Jill and a certain red haired guy in the Kato Suite. Stanley, nice to see your up to your usual tricks (did I say tricks??). Things otherwise seem to be the same in America's Favorite sea shore resort. And I, pathetically, am covering this as though I was there. Big thanks to Gary once again, our Ace on the street. My MBA classes haven't been going too bad, so I've got that going for my which is nice. Was down at the Carbone's in Maryland over the holiday weekend, thanks again for the hospitality. Toured around the Inner Harbor, hung out in Federal Hill, etc. I'm working on a mad libs for adults, so keep an eye out on the site for it. If you have any interesting anecdotes, please feel free to email me. Of course, it's at my discretion if I post them, so don't bitch if I don't put them up. It's pretty late, but congrats to John and Amanda Bennett! Congrats to Potavin, he's heading down to Miami in August for grad school. Congrats to Jeff and Kim Meltzer, they have a new addition to their family. And of course, Dan Knox was seen in Ireland. Knox.....(I wanted to end on a sinister note)...
04/24/2002
Took last Friday off and headed down to U of D with Potavin for the fourth annual Founder's Day weekend and Golf shoot out. Checked into the Bate's Motel (i.e. Travel Lodge), then had a margarita with Potavin, Darren, Thayer. Met up with Greg "Tiger Woods" Carbone, went to Grotto's. Had some beers there, some more campus-has-beens showed up (yes yes I'm included in that batch Beach), caught up with TJ for a while (glad your arm is in the recovery process), finally headed over to North Chapel Street. The evening took a hazy turn, I talked SAE up to some Pledges (who got in the following day: congrats), made some of my usual unappreciated off-color remarks, then got run into stunt man style by some little trick in a camaro that forgot to put her lights on. After brushing myself off, then finishing my chicken, I took my Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular over to DP Dough for an encore. The Carbones and Co got my ass back to the hotel where I slept off the evening's debacle. Next morning I did what many of my detractors said couldn't happen: I didn't win the Dicky. In fact, my score was better than quite a few people. Alright, alright, it wasn't great (53 on 9), but a HUGE improvement over last year. Later Nat and Chrissy met up with all of us (including Mrs Carbone), and headed over to Chillmington for the 5th Anniversary Banquet. Nice job setting that up (Hess and Rudderman especially). Plenty of funny shit happened: I won't steal content from the alumni site. Sunday Nat and I got back and hung out, slept off the weekend's antics. Big couple of weeks for John and Mandy: wedding in two weeks.
03/24/2002
Friday Nat and I went to Fezziwigs for a late night snack and drinks, then we went over to Tir Na Nog for a beer with Gary. Unfortunatly, Natalie's narcolepsy got the best of her, so we had to head home. Saturday we went to the Philly Art Museum (and yes we ran up the steps and jumped up and down like Rocky) where you can see everything from Picaso and cubism (not Cubanism) to Swords and Japanese tea rooms. From there we rolled to the King of Prussia mall where I picked up some phat clothes that prove, once again, that I look better than 98.67% of the people walking the face of the earth. And of course Saturday night we had an appearance of Miami Keith Metzger. On hand for the visit were long time Manayunk goers John Mal (big shout out to you chief), Mr and Mrs Wrigley (heh heh I love working that into the column), Stanley, Grace and Jill, Wick (back from his sabatical in the Holy Land), and all the way from New York, Gary Thayer and Michael Levine . People fimiliar with the industry insist Thayer is the favorite for the Dicky Award at the Third Annual SAE Delaware Alumni Golf Tournament in April. Levine insists he's seen some of Arthur Anderson's key upper management take new jobs at his firm (which will remain un-named for legal reasons), mainly doing some of the janitorial work in the office (ahem-disposal). Nat and I headed out early and were treated to the Sick Natalie Show, Late night. Sunday I kept it real.
03/19/2002
Two weeks ago, we did the Erin Express in Philly: good time once again. Last weekend we stayed local in Warminster, had a few at a little Irish bar in Nat's town. Sunday Gary and I headed over to the Hibernians for a few beers and some bag pipes. Dan Knox was hard at work on his campaign to become Mayor: lots of back slapping and hand shaking. Knox for Mayor! I should be registering for my first class at LaSalle in the next few weeks, the first step on the road to my MBA. Power player. Hell yeah. HELL YEAH. So Fats Baldino got himself a position working at Bristol Myers doing some kind of technical job. Nice to see him out of the unemployment line. The Bennett/ Williams wedding is coming up in about a month and a half. Bachelor party plans are already in the works. heh heh. Miami Keith Metzger is making a rare appearance in PA this weekend. The event isn't sold out yet, but act quickly, tickets are selling fast. And of course, there's the approach of the warmer weather. Despite the recent snow storms and the like, more would agree that spring is indeed in the air. The obligatory weekly pilgramage to Avalon is a thing of the past though as I hit the books. As many DickSheridan watchers in the media predicted, my venue will be changing to LBI. News from Allentown seems to point to up and coming band "Carbide" being the group to watch these days. Ray "Shit Pants" Hencken seems to be a driving force in the band, with his raging antics and frequent alcohol-induced stupors on stage, they put on quite a show. The Carbones are still married and are planning a trip to Arizona to pick out a nice retirement spot. I suggested Tombstone (hay, it was a pretty good movie, right?). And with these troubling times, it's nice to see the U.S. still kicks alot of ass and left hundreds of Taliban and Al-Qaeda corpses in the mountains of Afghanistan after Operation Anaconda. As AP and Reuters noted, Dan Knox's Mayoral campaign is centered on killing Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants where ever they are. Nice work Dan.

Well last Friday night, Nat and I hung out at the Penthouse and chilled. Saturday we met up with Jim and Chrissy and went to the Italian Market in South Philly. It's like stepping back in time about 100 years. The food is a fraction of the cost at the super market: you wouldn't believe how cheap the bajole is! Uh, I mean....so anyhow, we went for a drink at the always swanky Continental (hwo do you not have a Martini in that place?) then went over to Cuba Libre for dinner. Place gets 5 stars for ambiance, but the consensus for Nat, Jim, Chrissy, and I is that the food gets about 3 stars. I guess we're not used to ethnic foods. Drinks were great, if you head down there, try Hemingway's favorite from the real Havanna- the Mojito. Saturday night I stayed with the couple-soon-to-be-known as the Wrigleys, had a few drinks at Ebo's new place, then went to a little local place for beers with Wrigs. I'll tell you, that golf game Golden Tee is a bitch to play. I won the Dicky in Electronic Golf too. I'm going to editorialize a bit and say that I don't think I'll win the Dicky again this year at the SAE Spring Golf Classic. Alot of effort on my part last summer and fall, and I think we'll be picking a new Dicky recipient.
Back to my update, Sunday Nat and I hung out, then i came home and hung out with Big Gary O'Shevsky...O'Swinsin...O'Swanson...Sampson...Sampsonite
Look for Rock Star Ray Hencken kicking off his Allentown-wide tour on Thursday. Anyone wanting info can email me and i'll let them know time and place. The role of DickSheridan was played this evening by....DickSheridan.

Alright, last weekend was a good time. First off, let me say Congrats to the future Mr and Mrs Wrigley: they got engaged last Thursday (who would have thought Wriggs was "romantic" enough to propose on Valentine's Day AND at the place they went to on their first date?? Wasn't he the guy the undergrads at SAE Delaware hid their valuables, breakables, and beer from when he comes to visit??). Congrats though to Jim and Chrissy from everyone here at Angryshark.com. Saturday night Nat, Gary, Ray, and I met up with Natalie's friends at Sonoma in Manayunk for dinner and drinks. Good food, good time, etc. Mal, Ian, El Guapo, JT, and company met up with us for a few drinks then we all headed to...guess where...the Brew Pub. But of course it's always a good time there, so it's casual. And Natalie's friend Bridgette didn't try to sell me any stocks either: as it turns out, she doesn't even do that. Eventually Natalie fell asleep standing up, so we headed back to her house. While I'm at it, thanks to everyone that came out for my Birthday the prior weekend: especially Stanley and Grace for the birthday cards. Always good to see the Avalon Crew out and about and keeping shit real. Friday night (yes i'm going out of order) we had dinner at Fezziwigs then hung out with The Dan Knox, his lady friend JoAnn (I think I spelled that right), and Rob "Yes I'm A Father And I Have Twins On The Way" Grant. Nice to see those guys, everything seems to be on the up and up with them (and no arrests for carrying illegal firearms- way to go guys!). Sunday I just hung out, then worked on Monday (that's right- i'm a damn go getter). Nat and I had dinner down in Philly Monday night at a Vietnamese Restaurant: a nice change of pace from the usual fair. Good stuff. As a side note, I was watching "Holla Back Weekend" on VH1, it detailed the rise and success of Snoop Dogg, Dre, and a few others (those were the only ones I got to watch). If you get the chance, watch those episodes of Behind The Music: I had no idea that Suge Knight was pulling all the strings, and that he was one of the big forces behind Death Row Records, including hanging Vanilla Ice off a balcony until he handed over some royalties. Or that Easy E financed NWA with his...uhhh...distribution business. Anyway, today I'll close with a Happy Birthday shout out to Greg Carbone: Happy 2_ buddy.

Thanks to a completed index at work, I was out rocking out on Friday night like Motley Crew in their hay day. Matt and I met up with some of the Dow Jones All-Stars for happy hour, where Mike and Mike were accused of being gay by some middle aged women. Don't take it too hard guys: I'm sure those women were just pissed that they couldn't get away from their grand kids very often, and when they do, guys a fraction of their age shoot them down. So Matt, Ant, and I changed venues to Savoy's where we ran into everyone and their brother. Looks like El Kabong brings 'em in like an all you can eat special at Sizzler. No shortage of people that we didn't want to see, but that's another story. Saturday, Nat and I just went out to dinner then hung around her house. Sunday, we sat around and watched Wrigg's football picks get destroyed. Speaking of football, be sure to send your picks for the SuperBowl to Dr. W by Thursday or maybe even Friday.
01/21/2002
Friday night Nat and I stopped by Theresa and Steve's where Doc showed us how you really can chase AND bite your own tail. Then, in our grand tour, we stopped by Christy and Tim's and chilled out Sparwasser style. Aww yeah. Saturday I headed up to the frozen tundra that is Lansdale, PA to watch American Pie II (best movie to come out on DVD in 2002 raves DickSheridan) and a little football before rolling on back to Natalie's to watch some more football. Sunday I did some bi'ness around the house then headed out to dinner with Gary, Nat, and Lexi (of the "Save The Stone Pony Fund" fame). Excellent food once again at Cafe Capajuana's, especially with Gary's connections. Solid. So if none of that recap tickles your fancy, check out 4th and Wriggs for some real entertainment.
01/13/2002
Friday night Nat and I headed up to Allentown to visit with Ray, went to the Bethlehim Steel Works (not a foundry, a bar). Had a few there, nice place. Went back to Ray's Palace of Immorality, hung out, etc. Saturday we got some lunch at a Bennigan's near Ray's place and who did we run into? Tim "The Gooch" Cooper of U of D fame. Apparently The Gooch is working as a cop in Allentown and generally keeping shit in check. Saturday night Nat and I went to Greg and Susanne's house warming party/ beer pong extravaganza. Good time. Nat even shot a nice game of beer pong in there. Steve and I dethroned the reigning champs only to be knocked out in the next round. Sunday I got some work (hey, indexes don't build themselves) done, then hung out with Gary. He picked up a Jeep Cherokee, so we took that for a spin, very nice. Make sure you check out Wrig's NFL re-cap and watch on Thursday for his pics for next weekend.
01/03/2002
The New Year's weekend was a great time, as expected. Wrigs got us a place in Sea Isle for the weekend and we all rocked out. Friday night we took the trip over the bridge to Avalon for dinner and drinks at the Rocking Chair. Even saw Jammer of Jammer and Jen fame performing. We changed venues a few hours later and headed over to the Princeton. Interesting to see the place in the winter: only the tavern and liquer store are open and the rest of the bar is literally boarded up with ply-wood. So I managed to poke around in the closed off sections of the bar before a bouncer comes over and told me that the area was closed. Sad to see the Techno room used for storing old bar stools. Saturday we hung around the house, watched some movies. Saturday night we once again headed into Avalon for some Italian food. I got so much sauce on my shirt the waitress gave me a glass of club soda and an extra napkin to clean myself up. Sunday the Carbones came down and we all got a lesson in audio/ visual work. Two TVs, an X-Box, a VCR, and a DVD all hooked in a two foot square area: impressive. Wrigs and Mal won some coin on the action they had against the Carbones over the Giants/ Eagles game. Lots of shit talking. Lots. Later that night, Darren played the roll of "that guy" by dumping a few drinks, draining half a bottle of gin, and passing out. Way to go buddy. Monday we headed down to Atlantic City to see what Lady Luck could do for us. Turns out she could do quite a bit since all of us won. I hit big playing craps (before a certain girlfriend showed up and cut my winnings a little- and I won't mention her name), and each of us took home enough cash to have a pretty decadent meal at this Italian place in Sea Isle. Irish Gary O'Garvsky came down, joining Ian and Christine (among others) in the hub bub. We rang in the New Year's at the house, smoked a few cigars, drank some champagne, yelled at passers-by, watched some locals blow fire works off the beach, and brought some fish skeletons back from the beach to dry on our porch. hhmmm. Monday we cleaned the place, then headed out, closing the book on yet another year. So happy new year and good riddance to 2001. I suggest you make a resolution to check angryshark.com once a week for the rest of the year. But then I could be a little biased.

It seems Christmas is once again upon us, with the usual nonsense in the malls and stores. There was actually a fist fight between two girls in the Quakerbridge Mall yesterday: police had to break it up and all. Friggin degenerates in this area. Friday Nat and I went to Kevin and Claire's holiday party, very nice. Saturday night Natalie and I had dinner then met up with every one at the Manayunk Brew Pub (the one in Manayunk). Andy and Levin made special guest apperances, along with some of the usuals: Mal, Ian, Gary, etc. Ray brought along Tracy (way to go buddy, I guess she doesn't know about your "rash"), so we had a solid lineup of people boozing with us. On Sunday Ray, Gary, and I went to TirNaNog for a few, met up with Lexi (yes yes you finally got a shout out) and Gina "I'll-Look-Down-my-nose-at-you-from-Italy-if-I-want-to" Pezzicola. I'll do the obligatory "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the staff at Angryshark.com". Keep an eye out after New Years for the recap: Sea Isle and Philly promise to have some interesting stories.
12/17/01
Well I guess I should mention that I got into LaSalle's MBA program. Good stuff. I'm still applying, so I haven't made any decisions yet, but i'll post it when I do. So Friday night Nat and I had a low key night, watched a DVD. Saturday we headed up to NYC to see some of the sites, etc. Went to Rockefeller Center, saw the tree. Strolled Broadway and Times Square, had some dinner. Caught up with Andy and Amit for a beer and the like. I guess we'll have to make a return visit sometime in the next few months so we can see everyone up there. Worked on Sunday, and that's about it for the weekend. New Years is coming up, so I should have some photos and interesting anecdotes (unlike the current post). DickSheridan's "It's not always exciting, but sometimes it's amusing" Angryshark.com web site. Dan Knox rules!
12/02/01
Friday night Nat and I went to Jen and Co's place in Philly for their beach house re-union. Very nice place (even if the neighborhood is a de-militarized zone), and a great time. Nice to see Ebo again. Shout out to El Guapo: I think some of the neighbors were ready to elect him mayor. Wrigs and Chrissy re-lived their bowling stories with me and I think I might have to see what all the hub-bub is about. They had some tips for me on how to avoid being Munsoned my first time back at the lanes. Good stuff. Saturday night Nat and I met up with Theresa, Steve, Kristy, Tim, Rob, and Meg and went out to a bar in their home town. Probably should have skipped the shots Rob kept bringing back. Good time though. Sunday Nat and I did some Christmas shopping, then I started working on this. Which brings me to this very second. Oh and make sure you check out a few pictures I scanned from our vacation and the Carbone wedding here.
11/30/01
Hasn't been too much to post in the last few weeks, and it gets a little tedious. I moved all of the old news to the archive, so if you want to check out Avalon stories from this year, or 2000, or anything in-between, it's all right here. Tonight Stanley and Co are throwing their hub bub, so I thought I'd post that picture from Avalon with Jen showing off her fun bags. Good stuff. Alright, the recap: last weekend Nat, Gary and I headed to Manayunk where we met up with Ray, Gary's Courtney, and ran into our Canadian pals, and F.Wick Wickersham (well known lady killer). Good time as always, the Brew Pub had the usual crowd of people seeing and being seen. Thanksgiving was good, spent some time at Natalie's Mom's then over at Dawn and Steve Held's: food was great, I waddled out and didn't look at food for another thirteen hours or so. Congrats to Mike and Jen Sheridan: the baby is due in July. And congrats to Dawn and Steve, also expecting.
11/14/01
Natalie and I had our last wedding for the year this past weekend. Natalie's friend Brian got married out in Lancaster, PA. He was even nice enough to let us stay at his house. So Nat and I did some shopping on Sunday at the outlets ( I bought a great shirt at at a rock bottom price and it had THREE sleeves: I usually pay twice that for a shirt with only TWO sleeves) and found some bargains. GMATs are coming up on Friday, so if you never hear me mention them again, you'll know I did horrible. I guess we'll see if those Kaplan books are worth it.

Congratulations to Amanda and Greg Carbone on their wedding this weekend. Started things off on Thursday up in Clinton, NJ with some last minute boozing amongst the groomsmen. Headed down to the hotel bar (boy was that place a whacky scene) and watched some of the World Series game. Friday we got up bright and early to play some golf at the Architects course. Big improvement over my performance at the alumni tourney. Thayer got the Dicky Award that day. We got back to the hotel and the groomsmen actually put together the favors while watching a little "entertainment". Friday night we had the rehersal and rehersal dinner, nice affair. Greg put together a nice slide presentation on his lap top with pictures of him, Amanda, and their friends/ family. I even worked my way into one or two of the pictures. Saturday was the wedding, and it was a beautiful one. The church they had it in was great, everything ran smoothly, and the earth didn't open up and swallow Chez when he went up for communion. We had the pictures taken in scenenic Clinton. The weather Saturday was ideal, so everything came together (including the booze Wrigs and Co picked up on the way). The reception was a blow out as the NYC ex-frat guys descended on NJ with the rest of the rock stars already present. You usually don't see that many shots done at a wedding. Beggs and his Mrs maintained their status as Chief Hazers of the wedding. We moved the crowd into Jetterbugs ( the hotel bar/ club) when the reception ended. Wick gained the official title of Hardest Working Man in Clinton as he tried to pick up the Solid Gold Dancer that came out to show her moves. Everyone else seemed to be in various states of demensia and madness. Sunday morning we had a brunch the headed home. Incidentally, Natalie looked naughty all weekend.

I'm back from my trip to St Thomas. What a good time, nice and relaxing. Stayed at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef. Spent some time on the beach and in the pool the first day/ night and did the same on the second day. Saturday morning we took a tour of the island, went to a bunch of scenic spots and notable locales (eg Drake's Seat, Mountain Top, etc), did some shopping in Charlotte Ameilia, then in the afternoon my cousin Tara married Tony in the gazebo at the resort. Beautiful wedding: congrats to you two! We all had a big meal afterwards and got to spend some quality time together. Sunday morning Tara's friends John and Barb took us out on the sailboat they chartered. My sunglasses spent a brief time in the drink but Barb managed to recover them later. Thanks again. Later in the day, Natalie, the folks, and I went into town and had dinner/ drinks at The Green House (local landmark bar). Monday we took a tour of St John's island, did some snorkeling at Trunk Bay, saw some ruins, and did some shopping. Tuesday Nat and I just hung out and had a few frozen cocktails at the pool bar before catching the plane back to NJ. Good trip, and a BIG thanks going out to Gary O for feeding Lucifer the Oscar and keeping an eye on the Sheridan compound. Now we're gearing up for the big Carbone/ Blatt Wedding Blowout. Keep your eye out for pictures from the St Thomas in the next week or so.
10/01/01
If you're going to be pulled over, the best place to get it is in front of your house. I just missed it on Monday night, but i'll talk about that later. Friday night Nat and I went to Ebo's surprise party, very nice time. Good luck to Ebo going into the Marines Officer Canidate School (OCS). Thanks going to Christine and Bey for setting the whole thing up. Nice to see the NYC contingent at that affair. Saturday Jim and Chrissy had their house warming party. Very good time. Check out the link to Greg's pictures from the party. I was dancing Zoolander style for a while there, and I realised something: I look really, really good. heh heh. So Monday night Baldino and I are dropping off his new 280ZX (OK it's a 1983 280ZX turbo that he bought off of Ebay) at the garage at the end of my street. As we're pulling out of the place don't you know some of Hamilton's Finest are driving by and shine the light on us. So we pull down my street and they turn around. Then the lights go on. So i'm pulled over on my own street ( I didn't quite make it to my house). Apparently there's been some crime going on down there so they're checking up on people that look suspicious. And with Baldino's crappy car, I guess we look suspicious. So they take our names and check out Baldino's papers. Baldino tells me they had some solid doodles they had drawn on their pads (Baldino...). So I ask if we can go, not paying attention to the fact that Baldino still isn't in the car, and he says I can but I probably don't want to leave my partner standing on the side of the road. Baldino tells him I only live a few houses up and the Officer tells us sorry to embarass us, good night, etc. Friggin Baldino. Anyway, bout it from here. Over and out.

Friday night Natalie and I hung out with Theresa and Steve at Steve's friends house, good time. Saturday we went back to H-Town and caught the Italian-American Festival out in Mercer County Park. Another good time, lots of food and all of the Italian flags you could ever want to buy. Saturday night Nat and I just watched some TV, since we had to get up pretty early for this Diabetes Walk we did in Fairmont Park, Philadelphia on Sunday morning. That was nice, got the folks to come out for that one, met some of Nerdalie's co-workers. Sunday night Gary and I had a drink or two over at TirNaNog, then called it a night. And once again, Osama is living on borrowed time. I'm Dick, thank you and good night.
9/18/01
This weekend was low key, spent Friday night at LBI, then on Saturday we went up to Barnegate Lighthouse to have a look around, then went for a run. Wow, i'm in some pretty bad shape. After like 2 miles I thought my lungs were going to jump out of my throat. Saturday night Natalie and I were over at Christie and Tim's watching a movie. Sunday I put the hard top on the Jeep (thanks Gary and Kyle) and did some cleaning. Normal Americans doing what they do. Sending a message to terrorists to go f* off. Thank you. I have spoken on the matter.

Labor Day 2001 has come and gone and with it, summertime. Or at least Summertime in Avalon. Or at least that's what Kay and the real estate people would have you believe. Friday was the usual, beer and beer pong at the Palace, then off to Jack's. Spent a little time on the beach in the afternoon on Saturday, then Natalie and I went to Tortilla Flats for some dinner. Pretty nice place to go if your in the mood for Mexican food. Saturday night was the highlight of the weekend, if not the summer. Gary stole a bullhorn off of the bartenders at Jack's and gave the crowd a pep talk. El Guapo's birthday was Saturday, so we chanted El guapo for a while. Then we chanted 294, then Malonoski, then Dick, then a ton of other things I can't remember. It was all pretty ridiculus: way too many antics and non-sense to detail here. Sunday I got a chance to work on my tan, had some dinner in Stone Harbor with Natalie, then we headed back to Jack's one last time to see the Not-So-Fabulous Grease and Lip-Sink Band. They are the worst band on the entire East Coast, and there's no shortage of mullets, or mullet hair implants. So I didn't stay there too long, enough to have a beer or two. Later when everyone got back, Gary and I finished off that wise ass ironing board that's been talking shit all summer. Guess I know who's laughing now, huh? Monday I did some cleaning then headed off into the sunset to close the book on another summer at the Jersey shore.

Little episode I forgot to mention: my cousin Patrick had his car stolen in New Orleans. He went for a jog with some friends, left everything in his car (little hard to carry a wallet while you run), and had some guys break into it. Gets back to where the car was, sees it's missing and calls the cops. The cops say, " Oh Yeah, we think we know where it'll end up". So something like four hours later he gets a call and they tell him they found it. It's been pretty well worked over. Along with a bunch of valuables, they took some CDs: Guns N Roses, George Strait (pretty sure it was George), an 80's CD and a couple of others. Everything is stolen but the thieves did have the consideration to leave him two Tupac CDs. Boy, I wish we had considerate thieves like that up here in NJ. Wouldn't things be much nicer if we did?
8/27/01
Natalie and I went down to Avalon on Friday, caught up with Miami Keith Metzger, Bird, and Mike "Oh those are YOUR shoes" Levin. Went to Jacks (big surprise there) and were joined by Thayer and Justin. Things REALLY got started when I, as the only person out on the dance floor, started throwing my phat moves around. Pretty solid, good time. Saturday got up bright and early for the trip back to H-Town. Cousin Dan got married, so congrats to him and Denise. The reception was a great time, caught up with Cousin Pat (in town from New Orleans) and alot of the rest of the family. Mike and Jen were shooting it out with Julie and Charlie in what seemed like marathon dancing. Good stuff. Sunday Natalie, the folks, and I took the boat out in the Delaware for some crusing and lunch. Coming soon: Labor Day 2001 The Recap!
8/20/01
Friday night I went out to PA for the rehearsal/ rehearsal dinner for Christy and Tim. Saturday I hung out with Steve while Theresa and Natalie got ready for the wedding (they were both in it). Steve and I got there just in time for the bridal party to walk down the isle. Oppss. Got in a little trouble for that one. heh. Grabbed a few drinks at Tomatoes before the reception, which was a solid affair. Alot of people got to see my phat moves, etc. Anyway, congrats to Christy and Tim! Stayed over at Theresa and Steve's Sat night (thanks again), had a few beers, relaxed. By the way, if you ever see Real Sex on HBO, they get some of the most disturbing people in the world: lots of freaks. Reality dolls? Yikes. Sunday, Natalie and I went up to Jim and Chrissy's new place for a quick tour. Very nice. I was especially impressed with the Mal Memorial Wing and Loft. Since Ray and Dr Wourtney are only an exit or two past Jim and Chrissy, we joined them for dinner. Pretty solid. And if anyone needs tips on landscaping, talk to Ray. This morning, I managed to run out of gas on the way to work. The worst part was, there was a gas station 50 yards away but I didn't have a portable gas container and they didn't sell them. So I had to wait around for AAA to deliver some gas. Fun and games.
8/15/01
Make sure you check out Stanley's Weekend in Review for the Avalon re-cap. Saturday was Jeff and Melissa's wedding. Great time, and congrats to them. Sweeney and Lee (of Groovepocket fame) were among the members of the wedding party. Gary, Ray, Courtney, Natalie, (myshelf included), Mike "Dirty Harry", and many many more were in attendance. Took a ride over to Polyesters afterward where the staff robbed us of eight dollars for cover. My advice: avoid the place. On Friday night, Matt, Dina, Natalie and I went to Triumphs in Princeton for a few drinks. Pretty low key time. Sunday I bought myself a suit. Nice lime green affair with a large lapel and flared bottoms to the pants. Some swanky shit. Dan "The Man" Knox is planning a sky diving trip this coming week that might just include yours truly. I'll give the recap of that if it happens.
8/6/01
Friday night Natalie and I watched Cast Away, pretty solid movie. Hadn't seen it before. "Wilson! WWiiillllsssoooonnnnn!!" So what was in the package anyway? I'll bet it was an inflatable raft or something really ridiculus like that. And how about performing a tooth removal with a rusted ice skate? Saturday I was running around to get some shit together then went to an Anniversary Party for my Aunt Morreen and Uncle Ed: congrats again! From there went to Jeff Y's bachelor party down in Philly. Very good time. Mike D was almost left in Philly. Ha! Close call buddy. I was hurting a little on Sunday, so Natalie and I hung out and watched some TV. Princess Bride, another good movie. Coming up next week: Jeff and Melissa's Wedding!
7/29/01
After recovering from being sick on Friday, I managed to stay on plan and make it out to Vicki and Chad's place on the Susquahana River. Great time. Sat around the fire, Friday night and relaxed but not before Natalie managed to burn herself on the fire ring and get some pretty disgusing blisters. I finally got to use the new tent (the Kelty Zen) which worked great, even after pitching it in the dark. Saturday we went out on the boat and Vicki, Chad and co showed Natalie and I the finer points of water skiing and wake boarding, with boarding being the more exciting of the two. Oh yeah, I managed to fall once every 6.8 seconds, then when I finally got up on the wake board, I went for the advanced moves (actually jumping over the boat's wake) and landed head first in the water. Even a passing beaver laughed at me (yes there really was a beaver in the river, and yes it did swim by). Natalie even did some slalom (spelled right?)skiing, going one footed. Had dinner in town and got a tour of Bucknell's campus. Turned in early since getting that much water from the river in my stomach took alot out of me. Stuck around for a little while on Sunday then headed home. Big thanks to the Eberharts for their hospitality. Hopefully i'll have some pictures.
7/23/01
Last week was Natalie's birthday so Happy 25th to her. Went out for Japanese near her house. Very nice. Friday headed down to Avalon where we caught Steam Roller Picnic at the new place, Jack's. Saturday I continued working on my tan at the beach. Nancy came down and did a little squawking, but it was all pretty casual. Since it was her last weekend in Avalon, Sosik couldn't resist messing with the local law enforcement folks. She was driving 6 people in a car meant for 4 and traveling in the passing lane (a big no-no for those of you that aren't from NJ). So the Avalon PD pulled her over and asked if she knew why she was being pulled over. Like a wise guy, she says to them, "Um if I had to make a wild guess, is it because of all the people in the car?" That didn't fly too well with the cop, so he pretty much tells her it was that and you can't travel in the left-hand lane in the State of New Jersey. Gary, Natalie, Nancy and I get out and walk, and Mal stays with Sosik. Later she tells us she didn't get a ticket but she did get some phone numbers! Way to go buddy! Love Seed played Jack's and the show wasn't bad. Got home and passed out. Also of note, is two out of the top four teams in the Avala-Lympics were from our house. An all day, grueling horse shoes, beer pong, and flip cup extravaganza, the Avala-Lympics wasn't for the weak hearted. But they pulled through nicely. Good job guys. Sunday I got a little more beach time in, then headed home. Make sure you check out the picture of former President William "Bill" Clinton on page 1 of the new pictures posted. He stopped by when he was in town a few weeks ago and had a drink or two with us. As a matter of fact, Lidia disappeared for a little while that night and re-appeared accompanied by some Secret Service folks. Wonder where she went? I did not have relations with that floozy in Avalon...that's a bald faced lie..."
7/10/01
Sad news folks: local party girl, and Avalon pin-up queen, Nicole Sosik will be leaving for Myrtle Beach at the end of the month for a new job. Apparently, the ice cream business is much more serious down there, and that's the sort of challenge she's looking for. Despite the layoffs and low morale here at Angryshark.com Inc, Jennifer Brovlowsky (Correspondent, Current Affairs Desk) had nothing but kind, upbeat words for Ms. Sosik, "Of Yeah, Sosik...hhmm...leaving..yeah...she'll be missed I guess". July 4th was a good time: Natalie and I went over to Theresa and Steve's for a BBQ and saw their puppy. Cool dog. Went to a few more BBQs/ picnics after that, all very tiring considering I had to get up at 8:00 on my day off. Outrageous. We caught fire works the night before in Hamilton, then met up with Matt and Dina for drinks. Friday I headed down to LBI and checked out the new flooring that was done. Looks great. Shot down the Parkway to Avalon and began the usual weekend nonsense. Friday we were at the Princeton, and it was a mob scene in there. Walked the 20 blocks home which sucked. Saturday we were on the beach, I was working on regaining my title as the Bronzed God of Avalon. Saturday night we went to Jack's (as though we need an excuse to go there) for Gary's birthday. Happy 25th buddy. Speed put on their usual good show. Sunday I headed back late and finished the weekend. You know, if you look at last year's postings at this time, we already had a neighbor driver their car through a porch and Andy pee'd in the neighbor's closet a time or two. I guess there's just not as much excitement this year. Funny considering the 37 odd people that were down this weeken...Did I say 37? I mean 8. The 8 people that were going CRAZY. Eight.....
6/25/01
Friday we had a picnic/ soccer game at work. My team was robbed despite yours truly grabbing two out of our three goals. I did manage to get such a bad farmer's tan that the next day on the beach, I looked like I was wearing a t-shirt. Even my efforts to even it out failed: I have patchy spots of tan. So Friday night we all went out to Jack's, good time. Big Happy 21st Birthday to Courtney. Saturday we spent some time on the beach and in the ocean (which is finally warm enough to swim in). Headed up to Sea Isle with Johnny Mal, Nat, and Darlene to the Carousel for happy hour,. Greg and Mark met us there later in the afternoon. Low key, good time. Ran into Melissa N (also of Sea Isle fame). Got dinner at the Rocking Chair (Rocking Horse, whatever) then kept it real at the house. Our neighbor claimed he does Bill Clinton impersonations on the Tonight Show and has been on 251 times now. He was also blind stinking drunk at that point so I told him i'm Vince Vaughn from Hollywood. He said he remembered meeting me before. Apparently we had met once out in L.A. at some party thrown by the producers of the Tonight Show. Told him it was good to see him again. Shmuck. Sunday I took a run with Nat and thought for sure I'd done permanent damage to myself. Yeah the girlfriend made me look bad. Had a nice ride home with Mr. NYC himself, Mr. "The Guy That Never Sleeps In The City That Never Sleeps", Mr "I Put The Core In The Big Apple", Mike L. After all that excitement, Nat and I went to The General in her hometown for drinks and food with some of her buddies. Yes Nancy was there and yes, she was squaking.
6/18/01
Friday night Natalie and I headed to Dave and Busters with her friends Chris and Cathy. If you go down there, try the rifle/ shooting game in the back: it's pretty solid. Crashed in Philly Friday night then headed home in the morning. Hung out with Cousin Mike and Uncle Jerry, went to work for a while after that, then drove to Natalie's to go out in Manayunk. First there was a huge accident on the PA Turnpike, then the driving rain forced me to go 5 mph, then a had to drive through water that was almost up to the doors on Natalie's Escort (I didn't have the Jeep: what a mistake). When I finally got to her house, we decided not to brave Tropical Storm Allison and just had a few drinks at her house. Sunday we took the Old Man out to eat at Scoozi's. Very nice. About it, another slow weekend.
6/11/01
We all knew it wouldn't last forever: the neighbors in Avalon hate us. Big Tony's floating craps game was a hit on Friday. Such a hit, in fact, that the people around us called the land lord at 3am to complain about us. What really shocks me is that it took this long to happen. So everyone and their brother came over to bitch at us Saturday morning. By then, Big Tony had left (he doesn't stay in one place for more than one night), so I think our problem was solved. Damn trouble maker. Nice day on the beach Saturday, then a little hockey in the evening. We all went to Jack's for Sosik's birthday (quarter century mark). Gary's mad dancing would have gotten him his ass kicked if it weren't for Ebo stepping in. Nice. Sunday Natalie and I came home relatively early so I could put a few hours in at work. Watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on tape: not bad but I hear the sequel "Drunken Wrigley, Empty Beer Can" will be better. Natalie begins her new job as a manager in Center City on Monday. Good luck Sport.
6/01/01
Friday Gary, Ray, and I went to see Groove Pocket at seasons. Excellent job by those guys, particularly Lee on drums. Ran into the soon-to-be Mr and Mrs Jeff "The Original Shark" Young, Jeff gave us a cameo on stage with his take on "Faith" by George Michael. Few cocktails at the Penthouse after the show (very L.A.). Saturday I headed down to LBI to do some house work as the Sheridans remodel the Sheridan Compound. Just as a head up, doors are a royal pain in the ass to paint. Natalie came down in the afternoon and we caught a play at the SurfLight Theatre. Not exactly the entertainment you'd see in Avalon on a Saturday night. Sunday, did some more work then came home. Come to find out, former AngryShark columnist Dan "My Jeep is bigger than yours" Know has purchased a town house! Congrats buddy! He's joined the home owning ranks which include...Wrigs and Ray. Everyone else is worthless, including (if not especially) me. Oh well. We'll be down in Avalon again next weekend, so look for my report as well as our new guest column.
5/30/01
I'm finally getting to the Memorial Day weekend recap after a long day back at the office yesterday. Friday Gary and I rolled down there and got things settled, moved into beer pong. There's a game that never gets old. Lot of "rookies" in the new Avalon house, but everyone looks like they're on the up and up. The house itself is great: big, everything in it is fairly new, etc. Location isn't bad, about 10 blocks from Jack's. I think the biggest difference from last year to this year is Avalon's Finest didn't camp out in front of our house. That and there's no 6 foot bald guy making cameo appearances and swilling down Crown Royal by the bottle. Our Canadian friends even brought down a satellite dish to watch hockey on Canadian TV. Natalie made it down Friday night and we all went to Jack's. I don't think Rosefsky got thrown out that night-another big surprise. Lidia (of last year's GateKeeper Scandal) seemed to make friends with Irish Gary O'Garvsky pretty well (and TJ, and...). Saturday the beach was cold so we all hung near the house, watched some films, all of the usual. Mal was in his usual position on the floor in front of the TV, ordering food. Some things never change and never should. Friday night we went to...you guessed it, Jack's. Good time, very crowded. Actually waited in line in the rain to get in. Sheer madness. Speed and Love Seed played, and Andy still didn't get thrown out by Jack's veteran bouncer, Markus. Sunday everyone went to church...heh heh I know, I know...i'm just kidding, that didn't really happen. Little nicer weather, hit the beach, worked on my tan (heh). Ebo, Wrigs, Levin, and Chrissy headed to the Lori wedding and it's rumored Wrigs almost puked during the ceremony. Funny stuff. Anyway, Sunday night we went to the Princeton, while the Jen Stanley party went to Jack's. The P was crazy crowded, hot, and stuffy. I guess that's why the women had so little on. Also saw lots and lots of visors and camaros. Little change in the crowd from last year. Monday Big Tony came down with some of his marinated BBQ chicken and fed the masses. Spent a little time on the deck enjoying the scenary then headed back to H-Town with Natalie and Gump. Solid weekend.
5/21/01
You've probably all heard the hype about Memorial Day weekend, so I included some of it here. F. Wickersham will be going for his Third (count 'em third) straight year as the Hardest Working man in Avalon (formerly known as the Hardest Working Man in Sea Isle Award). Wrig's trying to recapture his title of Naked Guy. Speaking of which, the results from last week's poll basically said anything can happen down there, it's all up in the air. I think i'm trying to re-capture the title of Best Dance (for the Shark Dance of Anger). Or was it Best Shacker (does it really matter)? Ebo is going for the Most Improved Physique Award (we know you can do it buddy). Gary's RV idea could garner him the Eviction From Avalon Award. Chrissy will go for the PsychoAnalysts of America Award for Excellence for her work with yours truly. Stanley is up for anything you can imagine. Fun Jess will be trying to...well...have fun (as the name implies). Todd will be trying to perfect his Pong game after last year's near fatal encounter on Labor Day. Thayer will bring his Bird down and show everyone a taste of Strong Island right here at the Jersey shore. Grace will be working with her parol officer to try to keep her nose clean. Mal will be running an excercise program with Ebo in the mornings to keep everyone healthy and happy. And finally, the Avalon PD could get the Jersey's Finest Award for the second year running. Special guests stars will include: Chez, Potavin, Andy (every other weekend heh heh), the Wickershams, Sosik's summer love interest (yet to be named), and a wide variety of up-and-coming angry neighbors.
5/18/01
This is a special end of week post to congratulate Gary on graduating. Seven years buddy: good work. Nice celebration for him last night following the ceremonies. Took Gary up to Triumph's in Princeton for dinner and drinks with Mike D and Heather, Cindy, and of course Natalie. Tommorow, former Lansing Ave resident Marie will be getting married. Congrats to her and her soon-to-be husband Vince. Also tommorow is the Preakness Stakes, so if you like betting on the ponies, that's one of the top events in horse racing in which to do it. And of course, the madness that is Avalon is only one week away. The summer's shotgun start begins with keg and eggs. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead....or something.
5/14/01
Friday Gary and I ventured down to Philly to spend some time in training with Wrigs, Chrissy, Stanley, Todd, and even managed to run into Sosik (also in training) in Manayunk. Didn't catch up with Ebo, who finished out his tenure at Sonoma on Friday night. Gary seems to be an early choice for the Andy replacement, I guess it's the male nurse thing. Mal even returned early Saturday morning for his usual rock-star appearance. Anyway, solid effort, lots of hussle, a good showing. Natalie and I went to the Macaroni Grille Saturday afternoon, then headed down to her town in PA to a biker bar. Mullets all around. Nice. Sunday I spent some time with Mom for Mothers Day (aww isn't that nice) then went to Friday's for some wings and beer with Gary. The results from last week's poll show people favored the Super Hero's Party, beating out the Avalympics by a slight margin.
5/7/01
Once again Cinco de Mayo has come and gone and left lots of empty plastic beer cups in its' wake. Went to On The Border Saturday, drank for free (mostly). Pretty funny watching Matt flick a cigarette at some guys chest, then having the guy do nothing other than tell Matt, "Hay...nice shot". Chump. Travis gets the award for Worst Pants with his flowered Senior Citizens Issue pants. Ran into Jimmy Kiernan (not the same as James "Chez" Kiernan of SAE fame), things seem to be going well for him. Paul Y told me about his plans to catch two out of the three legs of the Triple Crown. With Preakness approaching, it's looking like I might not make it down this year. Sunday I put the soft top on the Jeep and realised...I need a new soft top. Caught The Mummy Returns last night too, solid flick. Good effects and story line, with The Rock thrown in for good measure. Any jabroni could get on board with that! Hopefully everyone has taken the poll from last week, it turns out everyone thought Wick was the most likely to be pregnant. In case you don't know Wick, it's a man. Funny. Check out this week's topic: What Party Would I Like To See In Avalon. And i'm spent....
4/30/01
Friday night I ventured down to LBI solo, and ripped up half of the floor in our kitchen. Woke up and did the same on Saturday morning, in preparation for some new flooring in the Sheridan Compound. Came home Saturday afternoon and went out to dinner in PA with Natalie. Philly Crab and Steak: not bad, and they actually serve crab and steak (as the name implies)! Went over to Squaking Nancy's in Conshohocken, where we met up with Melanie and Susanne, then headed to the Brew Pub in Manayunk. Ran into Iron Ian who had his usual tales of debauchery. Pub wasn't too bad a time, came home here to NJ Saturday night. Then Sunday did some work around the yard. Wow, is that as boring to you as it is to me? Well Avalon 2-thou-1 is coming and there'll be more things to write than you can shake a stick at. So quit you're complaining.
4/22/01
Let me start by saying congrats to Tom Omiatek on his engagement. Alright, now for the DickSheridan news. Low key weekend. Friday I was at Nat's then Saturday morning we went to the Shore for a race she was in (nice work buddy). Dick actually got to see the Stone Pony (The Boss was noticably abscent). After the race we headed to The Sheridan Compound on LBI. Relaxing. Went out to eat at Buckalew's. Came home Saturday night, then on Sunday headed over to Mercer Park to walk my dog Killer (heh). Washed the cars, did some yard work, and the weekend's over. told you it was low key.
4/17/01
Well the delay in updating was due to illness on my part, but i'm back (and feeling better), so simmer down. Friday I headed out to Ray and Courtney's in Allentown, to their new townhouse. Very nice. Very big. I must admit I was impressed. I wasn't the only one, they had all sorts of people "dropping in". I suppose they're Mr and Mrs Popularity, now that they're homeowners. On Saturday, Ray, his Dad, and I went to the Little Lehigh were I acquired my new fishing name, "Fishes With Little Luck". Don't let those scenes in A River Runs Through It fool you: fly fishing is tough to learn. I caught Jack Shit. And to give you an idea, Jack was shitting down stream of me. Ray didn't do much better (he got one), but his Dad caught about a half dozen. To give you an idea, I could literally see dozens of trout right along the banks for a few hundred yard area, but they just looked at me and smirked. Arrogant trout, that's what you get in PA. Absolute crap. Later I went over to Natalie's were I pretty much just slept. Sunday I spent the morning with her and her family, then came back to H-Town. And still felt crappy. I took Monday off and that brings us to today. whew. Everbody notice that the weather's getting nicer? If not, you live in a bubble and probably aren't reading this page anyway. Or you live in the Southern hemisphere, it's getting colder, and you're bitter reading this. Too bad.
4/09/01
Friday I headed right down to Delaware where I ran into Wrigs, Wick, Andy, and co. We packed seven people into my Jeep for the action packed (or just plain packed) ride to the Stone Balloon. Nice to see not much changes in that place. Spent most of the night there. Caught up to Thayer and Justin (of New Year's fame), Potavagrant and the NYC crew (check the teen mags for Hancsin's pictures), the list goes on. After passing out in the diner, the Bone brothers and I went to the Travelodge for a nice four hour rest before heading out to the golf course. Heh this could be a book in itself. I shot an 86! On nine holes. Yikes. Headed over to Kates for the banquet (nice job setting that up guys), where I was awarded the Worst Golfer Award or what has become known as The Dickey. Several of us made it over to Grottos for a beer, then to Phatty Patty's for a sandwhich, then to Haines Street for happy hour. We were a little behind the procession over to La Tolteca, so Chrissy (in her hurry to catch up), swiped some kids scooter and tried to beat us there, only to fall on her face. Just some scrapes, but it gave the evening an ominous tone. We got to the place and I proceed (with the help of Justin) to gank some oven mitts. Alot of puppet talk and modified shark dancing proceded. Suffice it to say, things got stupid. Ran into TJ Wolfe over at the Phatty Patty's apartment along with not one, but two Beach brothers (hello R. Alex). NYC Hanscin and I called it a night at about 2-ish (i'm guessing): enough of this rock star bizness. It wasn't until I got to the Travelodge that I realised I didn't know the room number. So I hiked it over to Haines street and grabed a couch. Hay thanks. One might say I had "bills to pay" on Sunday. Gaaahh...horrible. Thanks to Nat though for helping me out. Looks like by tommorow i'll make a full recovery. ahem. Check out the pictures of the Avalon 2-thou-1 house. Swanky.
4/02/01
Friday night was, once again, low key. Natalie and I hung out. And once again Natalie kept things exciting by leaving things at the grocery store and not realising it until four hours later when they were about to close. Lots of fun, bud. Saturday Nat and I got things ready for her big "dinner party". I think everyone had a good time, even if Natalie laughed so hard she almost threw herself into a fit. Charming. Sunday Dick did so much cleaning it was pathetic. But, the Penthouse sparkles, so i've got that going for me. Which is nice. Anyway, next weekend is the Fourth Annual SAE Alumni Weekend, which promises to bring down upon the U of D campus such well known characters as: Chris Pota-Vagrant, Terrance Manikiss, Tom Oma-Vagrant, South Seas Mehler, James "Chez" Kiernan, Blake the Snake, Beach, and many, many more. Keep your eye out for the recap and possibly a live web-cast of the events.
3/26/01
Friday night was nice and relaxing: dinner at Fezziwig's where we saw Bill T once again. Saturday Ray and Courtney joined Natalie and I for some BBQ'ing. And Courtney, you're a real pain when it comes to drinking, "Oh i'll only drink Stoli-vanilla boo-hoo". So that was a good time. Melanie joined us that night and we headed to Savoy's. Gary O met us up there, we ran into Chris (fresh out of the academy), Travis (fresh out of Cancun), and Kim C (who isn't fresh out of anything). Tara D was there with her crew, nice to see them out. Natalie was almost left there at the end of the night, but Dick decieded that would be a bad idea. So he waited around for her and her little friend to stop talking to the midget. Sunday took all day to recover from the rock star evening, so that covers the weekend.
3/19/01
Friday night, Gary, Nat, and I headed down to Wrigs' and hung out. Saturday we got up early and got set for the Erin Express. Took the train in and got to Cavanughs at 10:30, started the day right. Met up with Ebo, Wick, and co and spent a few hours there. Nat, Gary and I (i'll call us team A), headed to the Irish Pub where Squaking Nancy decieded to leave as we were walking in the door. Nice going bud. So Team A hung around for a while, then got some lunch. We managed to catch up with Nancy and Sue at Boston Market, then went over to the Pub again. Good time in there. Didn't see any riots, which is good. We called Team B (Wrigs, Chirssy, etc) to see where they were and come to find out, they went home already. So we spent a little more time at the Pub and called it a day. Caught the last train back and Wrigs picked us up, thanks chief. Everyone crashed when we got back at around 9 or 10, and Sunday most of us felt pretty dumb from Saturday. Team A headed back to Central NJ and got some dinner later at the Big Fish. Nice place, it comes recommended. So here we are on Monday...

Friday night Natalie and I had dinner at the Macaroni Grille, not too bad. Saturday was the St Patrick's Day parade in Trenton. Thanks to Ted for the hospitality: he has a place along the parade route and it's safe to say Natalie and I walked away alot saucier than when we got there. We got to see Dan "Mr St. Patrick's Day Parade VIP" as he ran things from his golf cart. We waved but being the important person he is, he didn't see us. On the brighter side of that, my Jeep still looks a hell of alot better than his, especially after adding the fullsized spare and nerf bars. Nice work anyway though Dan, everything seemed on the up-and-up. Natalie and I met up with Matt and Anthony afterwards at Gersch's. Packed. I've never been in the place but it was a mob scene inside and out. After that Nat and I went back to the Penthouse and had plans to go back out, but I kind of passed out for a few hours and lost my resolve. Just as well we didn't go to the Nog, my sources tell me there was a brawl and a bunch of women beat upa guy, bit his THUMB off, then got in their car and drove into the crowd. Tough place, huh?
Nat and I are going on the Erin Express this weekend in Philly. Hopefully joining the Philly crowd (Kosovo Jim, the Lovely Chrissy, John "Rhymes" Bearoff and Becca, Wick, and co.) will be such well known all-stars as: Gary "Stone Cold Stethescope" Oravsky, Greg "I put the Bone in Carbone" Cabone, and possibly the Future Mrs Carbone (and no, I haven't forgotten how you skipped out on New Years, Blatt). Whatever you're doing for St Patrick's Day, remember he didn't just drive the snakes out of Ireland or have a holiday that's a gold mine for beer distributors: he brought Christianity to Ireland. Which is a hell of alot more than you're doing, you filthy, lazy degenerate. When you sober up, think about that one.
3/06/01
Friday night Natalie and I met up with her friends at the Conshohocken Pub. Jim and Chrissy made apprearances along with Denny and co. Natalie reasserted her claim to dancing fool. We crashed at "Squawking" Nancy's, thanks again chief. Glad I could help set up your PC. Saturday Gary, Nancy, Melanie, Natalie and I went in to Princeton to the Tap Room at Palmer Square for a few. Ran into Niloy "Mr. Sector Titans" Ganguly tipping back a few with his roommate. Pretty casual evening. The long-threatened snow never really materialized as of this writing, so I guess it won't happen this week. And with only a few more weeks of winter, that might be about it for snow. On another note, Knox will be happy to read I ordered my side bars for the Jeep and will be getting the full sized spare now that my rim is back in production. A few more things and i'll be in great shape. Hay Dan, is that a Geo you're driving? heh
2/27/01
The delay in news has been outrageous, so i'll recap for the last two weeks. Two Fridays ago, Natalie and I were at a "surprise" birthday party (that turned out to not actually be a surprise). Luckily she felt better the next day. heh heh Congrats to Mike and Jen Kovacs on their wedding two weeks ago: Natalie, Ray, Courtney, and I had a great time, i'm sure everyone else did too. Congrats to Ray and Courtney (no they're not gettting married): they just bought a town house in the Allentown area. Apparently US Steel is doing very well and Ray is seeing some of that cash. Good luck picking out the cabinets guys. Dan "The Man" Knox gave me the recap of his exciting adventures of late. Eventually, he'll put them on the web, i'm sure. Last weekend I was at Albright College for some fraternity affairs. Saturday, Wrigs & Crew were out in Manayunk with me. Our bar crawl got held up (it actaully stopped for me) when we got to the all-you-can-drink-for-$15 place. Fun. Sunday was recovery day. Discussion was, of course, made about the upcoming Avalon 2-thou-1 summer. Sosik promises pictures of the new place and maybe a few from last year to get everyone ready for this summer.
2/5/01
Friday night, Natalie and I went to Fezziwig's for some dinner, pretty good food, etc. Rented the movie "Loser" which could be THE worst film in the Western Hemisphere. Absolute filth. Didn't even finish watching it, to give you an idea of the disgust level. Anyway, Saturday Ray, Gary, Courtney and I headed to Princeton where we met up with Witzel and Erica for "a few" which turned into "alot". I never did get the tags on that bus that hit me. huh. Gary and I managed to pull ourselves together enough to go to Barnes and Noble the following afternoon, but that was a real challenge. Later on Sunday Natalie, Claire, Big Kev and I saw Finding Forrester. Not a bad movie. Hell of alot better than that garbage "Loser". Over and out.
1/29/01
As i'm sure you've guessed from seeing the index page, Potavin has moved to NYC. Nice job buddy. Ray and Courtney are back in the Northeast, living in Allentown for now with Courtneys "agriculturally-oriented" grandparents. Ray starts his job at US Steel in a week. Good luck to you too chief. Friday night Natalie and I got dinner at Scoozi's: good food, excellent service (ahem Mike & Brandon). Saturday I had to get up at 4:30 in the morning to play taxi driver. Not a big deal but i'll tell you what, there're idiots out on the roads even at that ungodly time of the morning. Filthy degenerates. Saturday Natalie and I hung out with her friends, kept it casual, etc. SuperBowl for Dick was at Mike D's. Good time was had by all. Thanks Mike. Get yourselves ready, Dick's birthday is in only 2 weeks.
1/23/01
Dow Jones night at Polyesters was another success (due in large part to the efforts of the notable Healthclub Dictator, Big Kev). Matt has some tips from Friday night about where to take a girl for a romantic dinner (ie WaWa), so talk to him for his thoughts on the matter. I checked on things down the shore (LBI) on Saturday afternoon : everything was on the up-and-up. Bought my Oscar some victims...I mean feeder fish. If anyone knows where I can get some small children to feed it, i'd appreciate it. Alot of humans rights groups have been trying to block me on this, so it's getting tough. ahem. Saturday Gary, Natalie, Melanie and I were heading to Tir Na Nog, but the weather turned angry, and we were forced to cancel. Sunday was low key day with Nat, and Sunday night Gary, Drew, Witzel, and I had a few at Fridays. See me for one of my business cards featuring the site.
1/15/01
Friday night we went to Polyesters in Princeton, pretty good time. Saw "Scary Movie", which wasn't scary, but was fairly amusing. What the film did remind me was that this sort of thing wouldn't happen in Texas (despite what The Texas Chainsaw Massacre would have you believe) becasue of the widespread carrying of hand guns. Too bad NJ is run be a bunch of fanatical gun-hating freaks-liberals that would just as soon take your right to guns as they would your right to breathe. Friggin facists. Anyway, Saturday night the Philly crew came up the Penthouse then we all caught the train to NYC for Chez's birthday party at Dakotas. Limo treatment the whole way. Top shelf. Dave and Ebo decieded they hadn't had enough of the NYC lifestyle so skipped coming home with us. They're probably laying in an alley somewhere up there as you read this, trying to figure out what happened to their pants and underwear. Sunday I just putzed around the Penthouse and did nothing.
1/11/01
I'm updating on Thursday, which is a little strange, but hey, it's an update. I got pictures back from New Year's so they'll be going up this weekend. Last weekend went to the movies on Friday (low key) with Natalie, Kevin and Claire then Saturday I went down to Jim and Jeff's to hang out with them and Chrissy. We were going to the Great American Pub in Conshohauken, but I left my wallet in my car and that ruined the whole thing. We ended up at Brannigans (or something like that). Happy Birthday shout out to James "Chez" Kiernan this week.
1/3/01
The people at Homepage.com shut down their service and weren't nice enough to tell anyone about it, so I've been forced to move to a different web provider. Not a big deal. Things should be running smoothly now. So Christmas was nice, got some good stuff: wine glass holder, wine glasses, bar equipment, wine rack, clothes, Beatle's White Album, Head of Diego Garcia, etc. Spent a week up at Hunter Mountain, good time. Give my shout-out to: Sue, Justin, Fred who were up there for the week. Angryshark.com regulars will recognize some others names such as Natalie, Greg and Darren Carbone, and G. Thayer, esq who were also in attendance. Plenty of fresh powder to ruin my legs and drive me to drink...um I guess I would have done that anyway. Jeep went right through that snow, although I doubt one of these newer Jeeps could have handled it (ahem, Knox/ Ray/ Witzel). So New Year's Eve we went to Slopes (bar), then made it back to the condo for the ball dropping. The rest is a little blurry. Oh well. More good news, Ray and Courtney will be back in the NorthEast at the end of the month, Ray is taking a job with Lucent's Fiber Optics Group. Congrats. Anyway, it's nice to be back in the web business and you should check back for the weekly installments of the Life of DickSheridan.
11/21/00
Once again, sorry about the delay in updating. Last weekend Wrigs and Wick were nice enough to host Dick and Natalie at their place. Trip to Manayunk, Wrigs starting a fight, Dick passing out during the car ride home, late night foozball, all the antics you would expect. Last Tuesday at Club 14 was a nice change of pace. And the police didn't raid this time! Not that we got carded the first time: we were the only guys that looked over 21 in the whole place I guess. Friday night at Polyesters was the usual good time. Got to see Tara and Michelle D among others that haven't been seen in awhile. Saturday was low key at Natalie's house in PA. Sunday saw Dicks legendary cooking skills in action as charm and wine flowed freely. Noticably missing from the weekend lineup has been Dan Knox: get well soon buddy. Dick's pick of the week will go to South Bank in Trenton: should be off the hook under the new management. Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving, and remember, there's only one day left until the biggest bar night of the year: get ready!
11/06/00
Natalie and I went to a comedy club Friday night, funny shit. Usual jokes about the election ie Yeah vote Republican: The Bush/ Dick ticket. HaHa. We were using that joke here at the AngryShark.com office weeks ago. These guys need to work on their material. Saturday night I hung out with The Vagrant Potavin and Dave B. You'll see his quote on the main page. Sunday Dick did nothing other than pick up this month's Maxim magazine. Thursday is Andy's birthday, so if you want to help him celebrate, they're going to the Irish Pub on 20th & Walnut in Philly. Tommorow is election day, so get out there and vote you lazy complacent Americans! And if you don't like any of the canidates (who wouldn't like Ralph?) then cast a vote for DickSheridan! A vote for Dick is a vote for status quo!
11/01/00
New Management!
The long delay in updating has been due to a change of management here at AngryShark.com. Intense negotiations have finished with a buyout of DickSheridan.com. Some changes to look for are an archive of the old news and access to old pictures from one place. We're having problems with rogue web designer Dan Knox not only stealing HTML coding from the site (which is fine), but stealing content itself. Very sleazy. AngryShark.com's management are persuing the matter. On a more personal note, I have been hired by the Dow Jones Index Group! A move onto an interesting new position which starts in December. Homecoming will not, surprisingly, get the huge billing that was expected. Most of the nonsense seen this weekend is remeniscent (yeah I butchered the spelling) of prior years, except the appearance of guitar great JB Cole and his lovely sidekick Molly. Excellent job by the Chapter and the Alumni for their work on Homecoming: it was a "stumbling-good-time". Thayer rocked out like a mad man, as did our newest alums from Del Al. Sadly, Mr. and Mrs. Kosovo Jim Wrigley only made a cameo appearance Saturday then left. So our final thought for now is this: someone right now stumbled onto this web site in Japan or Germany or Russia or Mexico. Anyone, anywhere in the world could be reading about the adventures of DickSheridan right now. And they're not reading about you. Ha ha. Chump.
Had enough? Go back to Main
10/24/00
Friday I saw Meet The Parents with Natalie, Eric, and Claire: general concensous was it's a pretty solid flick. DickSheridan.com's official rating is a "Go See". Saturday I went up to Blatt's for the Greg and Amanda coming out/ engagement party. Very nice. Great day, good company, plenty of liquid refreshment. Even spent the evening (thanks to the Blatts for letting degeneratese like Me, Darren, and Gary crash there). Monday I did some nonsense around the house, etc. Which brings us to today. There's only a few days until Homecoming and things are looking good. Since only four out of like 20 fraternities can have tents, I think we're in the same boat as most people. The field is going to be deserted except for the Gilbert C Reunion Tent and the Warner Hall Class of '89. Boy that's going to be fun. Dorks. We'll all just have to rage at Haines St. I think most players will be returning, including some honorary guests (ie John "Blue Hen" Bearoff). Crowd favorites like Wrigs, Wick, Potavagrant, Thayer, and possibly a guest appearance from Chez (if he's not at the World Series) are in store. Then there's the man behind the scenes, Mr World Domination Himself- Greg Carbone. Phi Almost guys.
10/15/00
Dick's been keeping it real in central NJ, not too much exciting. Close call on Saturday, where my license disappeared for a day or two. It was recovered fast though once I realised who I left it with. Homecoming looms closer, and next weekend looks like it's shaping into some good stuff. Rumor has it that Pornolicious.com CEO Andy Rubashevskii is throwing a bash for key shareholders Friday night in his Philadelpia suite. It's further reported that this is all an effort to bolster his capital in his dot-com venture. Several analysts from JP Marlin and Merrill-Lynn claim fourth-quarter earnings could be higher than estimated, bolstering their stock price. Further information can be found at imafrickingenious.com.

No I didn't miss posting again this week: I was on vacation in Charlotte with Ray and Courtney. Saw some of the local scene Thursday night, did some errands Friday, then Saturday we went up to the Smokey Mountains for some camping and hiking. Hiked through Pisgah National Park, saw the Linville Falls, and dealt with Ray and Courtney's crazy dogs. Didn't have any bear attacks (they would have been scared of the portable condo we were sleeping in). Still did our fair of drinking even though we were up in God's country. Came back Monday and finally got to shower. I'm no stranger to not washing for days on end, but I don't think those two were fond of it. We searched endlessly for a car for Courtney on Monday and finally decieded on...nothing! Alright, waste of time. Great. Keep looking buddy: your RX7 is out there somewhere. Had a great meal at a local Japanese restaurant: habachi table, sushi, saki, it was all there. Hopefully if all goes well for Ray, he'll be out of Charlotte and that'll be my last trip down there. It's like they're in exile down there. Anyhow, thanks again and congrats to Courtney on graduating from UNC!
9/25/00
Friday Dick hung out with Baldy Baldino and Chris "I don't work in the Boiler Room" Potavin. Fairly low key, drank some beer and drinks, kept it real. Saturday, Baldy and Dick tried to go out on Ms Barnegate Light for blues but some storm kept all the boats in dock. What's a little tropical storm, huh? So we fished off the beach and Dick caught a weakfish that became diner last night. Sunday was a banner day for DickSheridan's "Beast of The Beach" when, ignoring sand dunes, shell collectors, and a rising tide, they blasted to the end of LBI for some fishing. Not the sort of ride you would want to take in a smaller 4WD (ahem..KNOX..cough). So when Bennett and the others want to take it to the next level, we'll see you on the beach. Until then, make sure you don't get your tires wet...HAHAHAHAHAHA!
9/13/00
The sheer volume of news over the last few months has been staggering. You'll probably see a slow down for a while. Like this past weekend. I went fishing on LBI. Wow. Not the usual excitement you expect here. However, Mal will be rejoining us, so I anticipate some antics next weekend. Onward: everyone will be happy to know that Courtney graduated from UNC Charlotte (if she paid her parking tickets). I'll be visiting Ray and Courtney in a few weeks to do my usual damage to that fine Southern town. Reconstruction will take on new meaning when I leave. Plans are in the works for Operation Blue Oyster Bar over New Years. Coincedentally, Operation Red Light went off without a hitch and many topless women were seen. When i've been "debriefed", i'll cover the details. Congrats to Chris Potavin on landing a job. We knew you weren't damaged goods. As you see me in the coming weeks, you'll probably notice how much bigger I am from lifting again. Don't be intimidated, i'm still the same great guy you knew before. You can get all my lifting secrets from the book "How To Look Big and Feel Even Bigger" by E. Gwyn, available at finer book sellers every where.
9/4/00
It was the weekend to end all weekends, the Mother of All Holidays. Labor Day 2000 was everything most people figured it would be: sheer debauchery. The highlight was the Bushwood Awards, given out on Sunday. You can get a recap of that here . Friday night saw Greg Carbone in rare form, as he and everyone else headed to the Princeton. The place was bumping. Andy's brother Jeff found out first hand just how big the place is when he lost everyone for the entire night. Saturday was nice, some time spent on the beach, then an aborted attempt to go to Jack's. I hear it was good. At least that's what we heard from Kentucky girl. Sunday was the real madness. Beer pong in the rain, the revealing pow wow held in the back yard, the bushwoods themselves. Carbone takling and destroying a fan (while it was on). Bearoff getting yanked from Jacks (while wearing his mirrors shirt). Angry Dick Sheridan raging at the world (take some of what I say with a grain of salt)then taking a theraputic dip in the ocean late night. Monday was a sad day of cleanups and goodbyes as the cast of 388 39th Street headed off into the sunset. Not before Loz managed to vomit up his stomach into the Atlantic right next to some kids though. The staff here at Dicksheridan.com would like to thank everyone that made this summer possible, and a big shout-out to Jen Stanley for making the awards possible. See ya down the trail partners...
8/28/00
Not too much exciting this weekend, other than our third noise violation. Good weather let me work on my tan and enjoy the warm waters of Avalon. Friday we went to Jack's (big surprise). Denny managed to avoid peeing on my head but did pee all over the floor next to me. Now almost all of the rooms smell like urine. Great. Next year we'll have to have a class on how to handle yourself when you're that far in the bag. I think Andy said he'd run it. Saturday we turned into puddles of shit from all of Wrigley's mixed drinks. I flagged myself at the Princeton and went home. On Sunday I got to see alot more of New Jersey than I wanted due to a tractor trailer rolling over a few times and forcing a detour. Scrape em up and clear the road I say. Anyhow, Metzger is now in sunny Florida and hopefully is enjoying his job. The big weekend is upon us: prepare your livers.
8/24/00
This special mid-week posting is in light of the news that well-known charming ex-frat guy Greg Carbone has selected the lucky Mrs. Charming Ex-Frat guy: Amanda Blatt-Carbone (HA! has a nice ring to it). Many insiders called this one awhile back, but it was only confirmed today. While neither could be reached for comment, his publicist gave this Official Statement, "Greg proposed to Amanda this past weekend in Nova Scotia. She said yes".
So there you have it. The Teen magazines should be coming out with the news soon, and i'll bet there'll be alot of broken-hearted teenage girls out there. Oh yeah, and you won't see this breaking news on Andy's gayporno.com page either!
8/21/00
Went to First and Ten Friday with Matt, Paul The Jokeman, Tim , and Ant. Witnessed the Hot Potato Incident. A potatoe, still wrapped in alumninum foil, was thrown around the bar at people until it finally splattered on the wall, narrowly missing someone's head. Funny shit to see food thrown around a bar that way. Saturday was Meg and Bernadett Baldino's Grad party. Congrats to them. Was nice to see the Bennett's there, with Mandy showing off some ridiculus volleyball skills. Sunday was equally low key: hung around Chris "the crippled vagrant" Potavin. All of this is R and R in anticipation of the final weeks of Avalon 2000. Gentlemen, start your engines.
8/14/00
Friday night in Avalon was hilarious: Wrigley gets a ticket, we go the Princeton and have the usual phat time, get back and the Paddy wagon is in front of the place. So Special Forces Wick takes me and the team and sets up an observation point behind the house. He does some recon work then we slip out onto the street. I see the police are still there (and wanting to avoid arrest) head over to my Jeep where I crash for a few hours to stay out of the rain. I managed to get some sleep in the house eventually. It turned out our neighbor put her SUV in drive and ran over her other roommate and their porch. Leveled it. Luckily the roommate wasn't killed or even seriously hurt: some bad contusiouns...bad brusies. You know what I mean. It was probably the funniest thing since Andy peed in their closet. Saturday was shit weather and fierce rip tides. Wrigs and Dido had to run naked past familys and unmarked cars later in the day. How did it feel to cuddle in the bushes naked together guys? Missed the Sixers and the cheerleaders but still had a good time at Jacks. More shit weather Sunday and tons of traffic. My liver will be glad when this summer is done...
8/7/00
What did Dick do this weekend? What didn't he do. Friday was Gerry D's Gonzo Backyard Rave complete with smoke machines, booze, flashy lights, ticks, house music and kids sniffing glue. Saturday was Tara and Michelle D's (no relation to Gerry D) August Backyard Bonanza. A good 12 hours of drinking and quoits. Tara performed her floor show from the Copa Cabana room, sining her favorite show tunes. Paul and I were cheated in b-ball by "Air" Tim and "Magic" Mikey. And of course Dawn looked pretty damn good in her painted-on pants. Nice ass. Big Tony B finished the Beast of the Beach and will put it in action very soon. Operation Red Light will go on, but without Dick. Anyone interested in going to New Orleans this month should give me a yell and i'll pass it on to Ray. Knox claims he'll have something for me this week, so we'll see a return of the Dan Knox page if that's true. 388 can settle down: i'll return next week with the Shark Dance of Mayhem.
7/30/00
388 39th was stunned with the news on Friday that local party guy Keith Metzger will be moving to Florida in about a month. Lots of luck to you buddy, you'll be missed. The appearance of Chez and The Vagrant Potavin was a nice surprise for the house though. The right people to help Wrigley celebrate his birthday. Potavin managed to vomit on himself in front of the neighbors: showing them, once again, that we're a classy bunch. I was attacked by The Rampaging Crab of Avalon Saturday. For the record, Wrigs broke the chair first, I just finished it off. Later Saturday, we even created the Wrigley techno-mix. It's already a big hit in Europe. Jacks is a vague blur, so I won't comment on it. I think Chez lost a month or two off his life from all the drinking he did this weekend. Jen: thanks for losing me $2 and insulting Mal and Gump before that (fat guy/ gay guy). I guess you and Mal kiss and made up (or something like that).
7/23/00
All I can say about the lead singer for that band at the Princeton Friday night is, "That's no woman, it's a man baby. Yeah!" Having said that, Speed was excellent on Saturday night. Nice to see Adam down at decadent 388 39th. Gump proved you can piss on a girl's shit and she'll come back for more. I showed that the shark doesn't take no shit from no stinkin chair. Loz was kind enough to warn every one about the bed in the air conditioned room (he did warn you guys too, right?). Noticably missing from the line up were Wrigs and Mal, along with Carbone shitting out. KatManDu on Thursday nights proves there's still lots of local talent, so get out and get yourself some dollar beers and some eye candy. Ace reporter John Bearoff will be giving a weekly special report on the Pornolicious page, check it out. Since copying and pasting his emails is such a bitch, i'm removing the page from DickSheridan.com. Also, since Knox doesn't email me with new shit, that page will be down until I get news.
7/12/00
Once again Avalon proves the beer flows like wine and the women instinctively flock like the samon of Capastrano. Wow, Sosik and Markus: rockstars! Oh yeah, Markus for Homecoming King in 2000. Yeah Mr Popularity. Wrigs arrived late on the scene Sunday but will still manage to drink more than three men would. Did some fishing Monday and caught myself some nice sea bass. Beach Party at the Princeton, very nice but would have been nicer if the girls still took off their clothes. Side note: for those of you who remember Mike Miller, apparently there was a miss-understanding on the DelawareAlpha site regarding him. It's all been fixed: sorry big guy. Ray announced the venue for Operation Red Light this September: New Orleans. Details to follow.
7/03/00
Another weekend in Avalon and another step closer to being homeless in that town. We managed to get our first noise violation: one more and we get booted. Sucks. On the brighter side of things, the Windrift is all that and a bowl of grits; Mike Levine and Keith Metzger made cameo appearances along with Iron Ian Gwyn; and of course, i'm still the Bronzed God of Avalon. Soon i'll be placing a link to Andy Rosevsky's web site: gump.com. It promises to be up there with Yahoo and Amazon.com for content. He's given me alot of shit about it, so check it out (if it doesn't work, send him hate mail). Ray and Courtney have begun what could be the most decadent trip in recent years, nicknamed Operation Red Light. More to come as that develops...
6/30/00
Just as I get to last weekend's recap, i'll need to start this weekends. Congrats to Mike and Jen Sheridan on their wedding this past weekend. I think everything went great. Hopefully Jim, Bearoff, and The Gay Sailor set up the next theme party in Avalon for a weekend when i'm actually there. I'm pushing big for Hawiian Luau July 8th. Once the exact date is figured out, i'll put it on the count-down counter on the main page. I now have a cable modem and let me tell you, the connection is FAST. All the porn you could want at 10 times the speed. Bennett: thanks for the help setting it up. Haven't heard anything exciting from Dan Knox, but i'm sure the adventures continue. Lastly, check out Bearoff's section too if you haven't already.
6/20/00
While missing from the Avalon line-up this weekend, Dick managed to blow shit up on the home front. Had a phat time at MikeSheridan's bachelor party Saturday and I might have garnered myself a mountain climbing certificate for climbing my way up into his apartment balcony only to find out the glass door was locked. At that point I was so wasted it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to get down. Anthony "I BBQ and do wheelies on my Quad" Ancellio threw a nice shin dig on Sunday. Matt "Quoits" Stevenson was there along with the infamous Dan Knox and Gary the Schemer. Happy Birthday to Paul Yacas from all of the folks here at DickSheridan.com! Oh and Potavin: let's see more local talent like we did last night (tight white pants, etc). Excellent work.
6/13/00
Many Avalon residents witnessed the infamous DickSheridan Shark Dance this past weekend: needless to say they were all impressed. And yes folks, Loz is as big in person as he looks in the teen magazines. Potavin had a pretty nice "hub bub" Sunday for his graduation. Keep your eye out for the John Bearoff Words of Wisdom section, to be appearing soon. Then, there's Gary and his Five Year Scam (similar to the Thousand Points of Light plan): nice work, it seems to be working nicely. The Adventures of Dan Knox could be a regular column if he submits his shit. DickSheridan.com- your place for B-to-B web needs!
6/6/00
Waverunners, angry whack-job girls dumping beer on Dick, Mattie complaining that he doesn't get any publicity on the DickSheridan site (just email me something-anything), ghetto- fabulous living in Sea Side, a worn out football arm (heh), and most importantly: seeing in Andy's Little Black Book. That about sums things up. Any further questions please refer to the web devolopers. Oh see the conclusion of The Dan Knox Story.
5/30/00
Welcome home to DickSheridan Sr, after his stint in the Sunshine State. Dick hopes Wrigs, Wick The Hardest Working Man in Avalon, Saucy Nicole, and the rest of the crew had a good weekend. The Meltzer wedding was great: caught the garter and went through that whole scene. Watched Dave hit on Stifler's Mom. Lost a little money in FoxWoods on Saturday (screw those Native Americans: that place SUCKS). Created a scene at a toll booth in NY that made Big Tony look like a fruitcake (hay nice pink t-shirt buddy). Looking forward to a long weekend of inequity in Avalon. I start my Union (CWA Local 1096) sanctioned four day work week again and for June it's Mondays off. I have the greatest job in the world (if i'm not replaced by a monkey). Check back here for Part II of The Adventures of Dan Knox in a day or two.
5/26/00
First things first. The Dan Knox adventure at Preakness is a book in itself, so check it out here. What can I say, the Preakness is probably one of the best parties on the East coast. Dick was shit-bagged when he woke up and stayed that way well into the following morning. Saw a shit load of people, and a shit load of topless girls. Hit on a trifecta and haven't collected. But there's a year until it runs out, so I guess Pimlico will be seeing him again. Chris The Vagrant is spending his last week in Delaware as an undergrad, so if you see him weeping, hand him a tissue and tell him to buck up.
5/15/00
Dan "Elbow in my Beer" Knox ups the ante in the on-going Jeep dispute by promising to add nerf bars on his Jeep. Which begs the question: how will Dick respond? Lift kit. Very thick shit. Big congrats to "Mr and Mrs Matt Stevenson" at the wedding this weekend. Wrigs played host to another Saturday for Dick and was accompanied by Hardest-Working-Man (back in training) Wick Wickersham. Avalon doesn't know what's in store. Happy Mother's Day (I doubt very many Moms come to the Dicksheridan page though).

I think I spent a total of $10 on Cinco de Mayo and managed to steal or cajole the rest of the beer for free. Nice work Matt and Tim on sneaking across The Border and getting free beer too. Next year we won't try to make it into a road trip. Stick to one location. Still no word on what special agent Kosovo Jim Wrigley did this weekend, but his internet fan sites are posting alot of rumors. Perhaps he's waiting for Avalon 2000 to begin. Let the speaculation start...
