November 23, 2006 Happy Thanksgiving Everyone :)

Happy Thanksgiving :) I hope everyone has an abundant feast for their holiday.
Thanksgiving is that one day we give thanks for everything we have. Although we should always be grateful to Spirit, God or whatever you want to call your higher power, we often take our abundance and good fortune for granted.
On this day we give thanks for blessings both big and small. We can appreciate a family meal, good conversation, good food, wine & beer, football, the new flat screen TV and all the other wonderful things in our lives.
I thought it would be nice to go through the cards and pick out the ones that remind me the most of this holiday. So here we go....
The Wheel Of Fortune brings success, abundance and good fortune into our lives. We should always be thankful for a positive turn of the wheel.
The Sun brings warmth, joy, and pleasure in the simple life. The sun nurtures our food and our souls. I give thanks to the sun for the food on our table and the abundance it brings.
The World is another card of Spirit. The four guardians symbolize the spirits of north, west, east and south, the IV pillars of heaven, earth, air, water, fire. This is a card of success and reward. I give thanks to the world for all she has given us.
The IV of Wands brings great joy and celebrations. Harmony, prosperity and peace, all things to be thankful for.
The Ace of Cups represents abundance in all things. May Spirit fill your heart with joy & may your cup runeth over on this day of thanks.
The III of cups show three maidens toasting. This is another card of celebration and abundance. Lets join in their toast and celebrate this special day.
The IX of Cups shows a man sitting in front of 9 cups. He is content and looks to be a well-dressed happy fellow. He may have just finished preparing for his Thanksgiving Day celebration. This card represents material success in all its forms. The IX also reminds us of excess, so we need to remember that sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad. For thanksgiving let it be a reminder not to eat and drink too much :)
The X of Cups shows a family under a rainbow. The children dance and the parents look proudly over their domain. This card reminds us to be thankful for our families, homes, and lives.
The III of Pentacles is a card of work, employment and craftsmanship. A reminder to be thankful for our jobs and the means we have to put food on our tables.
The V of Pentacles shows two destitute people trudging through the snow. They may be going to a local church or shelter for their thanksgiving meal. This is a reminder to be thankful for all you have. No matter how bad things are they could always be worse. It's also a reminder that no matter how bad things are, Spirit will always provide.
The VII and VIII of Pentacles remind us to be thankful for the workers and laborers in the world. The VII of Pentacles, the farmer who grew your food and the VIII of Pentacles, the craftsman who made your silverware, plates and furnishings. These are the people that make the world go round and they should receive our blessings and positive energy on this wonderful day.
Finally my thanksgiving wish to all. May your lives and homes be as bountiful and abundant as the X of Pentacles and may The World (mother earth) supply you with everything you need :)
Happy Thanksgiving !!!
