This time, I found the t-shirt I had vowed to wear to the next meeting of the Colorado Springs Sweepstakes club, showing off my winnings.One of the new members recognized me from my picture in an online sweeps forum. Ah, celebrity.
Again we drew names for prizes, and while of course there are no losers (ha ha--no, seriously, the consolation prizes were Kit Kat bars after which I faunched greatly), I won a batch of 3x5 cards and stamped envelopes addressed to the contest of my choice (I chose the Big Diamond Giveaway), and a VMA hat.
A long, slow holiday weekend this is, for the most part. I did line up a place to stay in El Paso while those Canadians shoot their documentary around me, and permission to reprint some illustrations that accompanied the first appearance of my articles when I republish them to the Web.
