Going to the Dogs

The threatening sky
I opened the door last night and got a faceful of snow. So much for washing my car Friday. Although the snow stopped falling before I went to bed, on my drive home tonight the streets remained treacherously icy.

Actually, the car still looks pretty damn good. I'd show you my car buried under the snow, as well as the cityscapes I took from the 11th floor, but my cheap piece-of-crap digital camera continues to lose pictures on the way home.

I stopped off on the way home for a glass of water, and my favorite current waitress said she needed to make enough tips to buy food for her dogs, so I ducked out and popped into the store and came back with a sack of it.

Earlier, at work, I ran into my boss in the hallway today. How was I doing, he asked me.

"Fair," I replied.

"Good man," he told me.

"Yeah," I said. "There is that."
