Acute Lmphoblastic Leukemia
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
This is predominantly a childhood leukemia, with children representing 95% of all cases.

Failure to produce adequate and effective bone marrow products results in anemia, thrombocytopenia and a relative effective leukopenia. The children are prone to oral lesions from secondary infection, and bleeding gums and peteciae.  They can also develop bone pain or tenderness from bone marrow involvement.
