The owner of this property has a key sense of design and history of who he is. This is a graphic cutouts of the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. For viewers unfamiliar with the shape of these small sisters islands, the artist has accurately drawn the geographic outline in white against a unkempt gray wall.
This owner is aware of his heritage and expresses it on the right side of the wall. Between the gate of this house is painted, (but not drawn to scale, four entire blocks will have to be covered in paint,) one continental land mass called Africa. And just east of it, the word of Zion. The Africanized word Ashaki in a non serif type is skillfully painted. Position next to his land of birth, the word is broken in half then re-aligned slightly. This gives it a motion of Art Deco.
