FF3 is mainly about a women
called Terra. I am not going to say much so you can enjoy the story yourself.
But what I am going to tell you is that Terra is quite mysterious and doesn't
show much of her background at first. The only thing that the game shows
is that she was controlled by an Emperor by a crown which took over her
mind. She was also born with the ability to use magic. More is revealed
later in the game, which you'll have to find out for yourself.

Game
This seems to be quite big.
First, you go with two army-type blokes in a cool Magi Tek suit which is
shown above (with lots of weapons inside) in to a town and through a
mine to a strange glowing thingy. You then find yourself in bed without
your crown, and are told to run by the old owner of the house. This is
all that I will type for now.

Gameplay
This is a quite big game, from
what I have played. The controls seem to be kind of difficult for people
who haven't played a Final Fantasy game before, but they will eventually get
used to it. Also, there is not as much freedom of movement as
other games. Puzzles aren't too hard but some enemies are ridiculously
hard. Also, the random battles can become very annoying. You can easily
get into this game, but if you get to an enemy that is ridiculously hard,
like that thing in the rapids where I got stuck, or Atma on the floating
continent much later on, you may not come back for a while. I give it 7/10.

Graphics
This is all 2D, but the work
that has been put in to the detail is amazing. For these graphics, I give
it 8/10! Also, notice the similarity with the bloke below
and John Cleese?

Sound
There could have been more SFX in fight scenes - nearly all of the different main attacks and magic attacks sound the same as each other. Luckily, the music is strange at points but creates a mysterious atmosphere. Also the music is catchy and great which makes the score 8/10.
Originality
Square's Final Fantasies take a different approach towards RPG's. Fight scenes can get annoying when you can't see who you are about to fight in the over-world, but it is a great idea. But I suppose that FF3 deserves about 8/10.
Price
I have no idea what FF3's normal price is, but I will add it if someone e-mails it to me. You may find it dead cheap somewhere, and it may be worth getting.
