Day 7
May 17, 9:19pm

Ah, non-rice eve.  The cravings for non-rice are getting stronger.  I finished another bowl of Niko Niko Calrose rice, quite nice.  I've got a great dinner planned for tomorrow.  Hamburgers, garlic fries, and strawberries for dessert.  I've not yet decided on lunch, but it is only 14ish hours away.  I almost grabbed some frozen green curry with rice.  But, why would I eat rice when I don't have to?  At least not right away...

Actually, I am a little nervous about rice withdrawals.  I mean, it is cold turkey.  We'll see.

In exciting news, I've lost 4lbs.  I now weigh 218, though the man at the tux shop probably still wouldn't believe me.  Eric and Alex, we should start discussing marketing plans for our new diet.  It is super simple and easy on the pocketbook.  We may raise way more money than we ever imagined.

I'm off to sleep some rice week away.

Day 7
May 18, 12:22pm
One hour to go.
So, I am on a quick break at work and thought I would enter my last thoughts before Rice Week 2005 is over (Though it's never really over.  I'll always have the memories).

Alex, I'm jealous of the time you get to spend on your sandwich.  It sounds like it will be delicious.  My first meal will be from the deli here at work.  I didn't have the heart to painstakingly create my single greatest meal ever, knowing that I would have to wait hours at work to consume it.  Whatever the quality of the food, I sure it will taste.  Not great, not fantastic, just taste.  And taste is what I am really looking forward to.

I've never posted anything like this journal before.  It is a little strange to tell someone a funny story only to discover they have already read it.  I need new material.

Thanks Eric, for the Pepped Up Award.  I'm afraid I don't have any speech prepared.  I'd just like to thank my agent, my wife- Honey, I love you and I'll be home soon-, the producers- Eric and Alex- You guys rock-, anyone who donated- Your kindness towards an irreverent challenge humbles me-, and to the makers of rice everywhere- Your work is God's work-.  And to anyone who said that three guys didn't stand a chance of eating just rice for a week, I'd like to quote Dave Chappelle (may he find peace and healing so that he can once again tickle my funny bone) - "In yo face!"

I'm gonna miss you guys.  Let's do something else next month.  Maybe "Same Underwear for a Week" week?
