| Description Hamsters are very furry and fun pets to have. They can be cute and cuddly but they have a very strong bite. I have been bitten before, and it is quite painful. You can tell if hamsters are a girl or a boy, because if you flip them upside down, the boys have a sac with their testicles in them. The girls do not. Hamsters can live for about 1-2 years. Hamsters are nocturnel animals. They are also very flexible. They can do a 360 in a tunnel. Hamsters sleep almost all day. Hamsters have a lot of differant patterns and colors. My suggesion on which you should pick. Any one you want. Before you get one look at it and make sure that it does not have a disease. |

| Food Hamsters eat nuts and veggies. Hamsters are able to stuff a lot of food in their mouths. Thats how they transport their food. My hamster was able to stuff an entire mini carrot in his/her mouth. Put your hamsters food in a small dish so he can reach it. If you have tunnels you will see that your hamster stores half the food that you gave him/her in them. Hamsters teeth are constantly growing. To solve that problem, you should buy food pellets that shorten his/her teeth. If you don't do this, his teeth can grow right through his bottom lip. Hamsters need to drink or he/she will get dehydrated. So make sure you get your hamster a water bottle. To see what a hamster water bottle looks like, look to your left. |
