When your cat or dog is spayed or neutered, the vet will also give them a tattoo. If your pet is ever lost and someone brings it to the Humane Society, we will be able to use this tattoo to find out where your pet lives. Some pets get a microchip inserted into the back of their neck instead of getting a tattoo. The microchip will also tell the Humane Society where to call if we find your pet.
