The Dog House

The history of the Rice Bulldog Booster Club is not a long one, but it is one of which we are very proud.

A group of parents, all interested in getting involved and showing real support for RHS student athletes, got together in 1997 and formed the Booster Club. The first meeting was held at the elementary while construction began on the first High School in Rice since the 1950's.

Since then, the members have worked long and hard in many fundraisers. As a result, Boosters have spent thousands of dollars for supplies, equipment and services for the benefit of Rice student athletes.

School administrators have done an excellent job of stretching our tax dollars to supply the students at the new school and have built outstanding facilities. Sometimes, however, there is simply not enough left for those "extras" that our athletes deserve. We in the Booster Club are trying to supply some of these extras that older, larger schools take for granted.

We don't have an exclusive membership. To be a member, all you need is a desire to help and not be satisfied with just sitting on the sidelines.
