This book is applicable to my field because I am required to teach children in elementary school about history, changes through time, and American symbols. This book covers American history and how the American flag has changed over time. It is also at a level that children can understand, and contains wonderful pictures to illustrate the American flag, and the pride of the American people. |

By reading this book, children will discover how the U.S. was founded, and how the U.S. flag was created and why it was created. Children will have opportunities to see how the U.S. has changed over time, and how the flag reflects those changes. Students will also learn how to respect the flag and care for it.
