HISTORY
The founding of the AMA Institute of Computer Studies in October 20, 1980 by
Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz pioneered computer literacy in the Philippines as this became the now
famous AMA Computer College, Asia's largest and pioneer in information technology-based
education.  Considering a remarkable response from the youth, Dr. Aguiluz continuously
enhances its education program with the establishment of more branches to cater both short-term
and four to five year courses.  This brought about the emergence of AMA Computer Learning Center
in 1986, AMA Telecommunications & Electronic Learning Center in 1996 and ABE International
College of Business and Economics in 1999 which now form part of the AMA Education System.
The AMA Education System (AMAES) is a subsidiary company of the AMA Group of Companies.
It offers an array of sophisticated mainframe and midrange computers and maintains extensive
hardware and software libraries, drafting and LAN laboratories.
