No one ever thought they'd see the little green guy like this, but here he is, in a pitched battle with Count Dooku. When the fight starts, neither combatant uses their lightsabers. Dooku starts by using the Force to hurl various objects at Yoda, who easily deflects them before they can reach him. Dooku then turns to using the lightning power of the Dark Side, hurling it at his former master. But Yoda shows just how powerful he is, by not only catching the blue energy, but hurling it back at the Count. Realising that this contest won't be settled by their knowledge of the Force, Dooku suggests they fight with lightsabers, as he extends his blade. Yoda uses the Force and pulls his own weapon from his belt, and then, with a cry, leaps at Dooku. All traces of the haggard old man that Yoda should be are forgotten, as he uses the Force to leap around Dooku and parry every strike that the Dark Lord of the Sith attacks with. Yoda clearly has the upper hand, and Dooku only escapes by using the Force to pull a large pillar down above Obi-Wan and Anakin, which distracts Yoda as he rushes to save them. He does, but Dooku is gone. This fight is fast. Very fast. We find out that Dooku was taught by Yoda, but this master/pupil fight bears little resemblance to the one between Obi-Wan and Vader in episode IV. It's brilliant to finally see Yoda in action like this, although at times, he does move a little too fast and it can be difficult to see exactly what's going on. 9/10 |
