Sadly enough, I haven't been doing a very good job of keeping the news section of the site up to date, and a lot has happened since I last updated the page. I'm going to do the best I can to catch everyone up to date on things, but it is very possible that I'll forget to put something in. If that does indeed happen and I end up remembering it later on, I'll go back in and re-update the site.
Ryan was fired from Center Partners because he refused to put his job before his family like they wanted him to do. In all honesty, I'm glad that it happened, because I don't see how a business that expects their employees to put their jobs before their families manages to stay in business. Ryan was out of work for about a month before his staffer at Staffmark was able to find him work again. When she did find him work, he was told that it was going to be about a 3 week long job. Well, that was over a month ago. He's working for a company down in Loveland called TDP. It's a business very similar to Celestica, only smaller. Plus it pays more than what he was making at both Celestica and Center Partners. Ryan seems to be enjoying working there so far, and I hope that it continues to bring him enjoyment. I also hope that maybe it will turn into a conversion for him down the road. We'll just have to wait and see what happens though.
Zoe is....well, she's still Zoe. Attitude and all. Her speech is slowly getting better and with each day, she's getting to be more understandable. Most days she just jabbers away to no one in particular, and enjoys playing up in her room. She doesn't seem to mind that she doesn't really have anyone her own to play with, and that is one thing that pleases me. The fact that she doesn't withdraw from being alone is good, and I know that as she gets older, if she has a hard time making friends in school, then she'll still be able to play on her own and be happy.
She is still absolutely enthralled with her little brother, whom she likes to try and hold, but isn't really allowed to unless she's sitting in either my lap or Ryan's. She also likes to unintentionally make Jacob mad by standing in front of his swing when it's running, causing it to stop. And it's all because she wants to try and play with him and the toys on his swing.
