Drew and I had some quality bonding time this week when I took him to the emergency room on Sunday night.  Apparently he's been really stressed out for too long and it's taken its toll on him.  But at least he's getting better and I think he's going to investigate getting some more of that pain medication he was on in the ER.  He kept saying "I'm gonna have to get you some of this." and "I really need this stuff for work." I suggested he take up yoga for stress relief, he decided to take up fishing... *shrug* to each their own. ;)

My mother and grandmother are crazy... I hope it's not genetic.

Drew and I saw Lord of War on Saturday, dark and very heavy but very good.  The message is good, if you can figure it out.  On a lighter note, Pride & Prejudice comes to theaters November 18th!!!  I'm super excited b/c it's been my favorite book and movie since I first read/saw it my senior year of high school.  Uber-coolness!

Still no apple-picking yet, it's been too dry so the red & delicious apples aren't ripe enough yet... grrrr.  I finished watching the last three Firefly episodes on Sunday so now I'm ready to see the movie Serenity.  I've heard through the grapevine that a couple people have been taking bets as to whether or not I can handle watching the movie.  Bring it on!!

Funny connection... the new guy that my mom has recently started seeing is a huge Green Bay Packers fan.  My boyfriend is a huge Cleveland Browns fan.  Green Bay lost to Cleveland on Sunday... my mom and I just laugh and shake our heads.  And if my brother doesn't stop rubbing it in my face that the Ravens lost again, I'm going to burn his precious Steelers blanket!

Hopefully on Friday I'll be getting some female bonding time with Sherri!!  I need a serious estrogen fix, I spend way too much time with men.  Plus I want to see Sherri's single, I've heard it's very pink.  Greg is studying furiously for the LSATs on October 1st, so no poker games until after that's finished.  I've told Sherri to keep me posted.

James is heading to Vegas today for a job interview.  I really hope something comes through soon, he deserves it.
Brenda is going to lend me her tae-bo tape one night this week, and if I like it and feel motivated to do so, we might start meeting to workout together and keep each other accountable.  I definitely need to do something because I'm feeling sort of run down in general and I don't have much energy lately.  Exercise could help.

Ok, that's it for now... I'm on the run as usual, it never really stops.  I'll slow down when winter gets here.

Bis Spaeter! :)

First and foremost, before anything else...
HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY TO STACY!!
to a great and absolutely wonderful friend who's birthday is exactly 6 mo. apart from mine :) how cool is that?!!  Bask in the beautious glory of... umm... class? ugh, sorry about that... I hope you get to party this weekend!

So I realize that I haven't updated in almost a month... life has been so super crazy, I've barely slept.  Every few days my mom would call me in a fenzied panic, scared to death I'd been killed in a motorcycle accident... whatever meds she's on, it's time to up the dosage. ;) My dad has been incredibly patient, especially since he must have called me 15-20 times in one week and I still didn't get back to him until after about 10 days.  Oops.  Luckily, as soon as I say "I'm sorry, it's the beginning of the semester..." they all say it's ok. :) I love my family!

Work has been so busy because we're pretty much rebuilding the infrastructure of the TV station.  But all the work has really paid off.  We went from have only 3 people on E-Board to a full 10 person E-Board, and we have 45 general staff... more than we've had in years.  This is just so incredible, I'm so proud of us and really happy for the 3 E-Board that stuck around.

Radio is driving me nuts... if one more student needs me to hold their hand during something, I'm going to smack them.  My newest theory is that the average college student needs an advisor to say 4 - 6 times "Go take care of it" before they actually turn around, walk away, and go take care of it.  Though I can't give the students too much of a hard time... Bill pulled an idiot moment today too.  *shakes head*

This past month has definitely had it's peaks and valleys.  I'm not one to air lots of dirty laundry, so suffice to say that those who know already know and those who don't, well... no offense, but you can ask me personally.  However, life never stops for anyone....

In the midst of my crazy work schedule, I had to have a root canal and get a crown.  It's not finished yet, but thank goodness I'm finally out of pain.  I've never been so glad in my life to have a needle filled with lidocane go straight into my gums.  And vicodin is just fun!  Though it makes me a little nauseous sometimes, so I don't think I'll be using it recreationally anytime soon... contrary to Bill's suggestions.

I've been riding the bike a lot with Drew lately... and with gas prices being so insanely high, it's the economical way to get around.  I look like a little biker chick, so cute! :) My girly-girl, pedicured, belly-dancing, pilates-loving, sex and the city addict, shopaholic self decked out in leather on the back of a bike... wonders never cease.

Plans for apple-picking this weekend, and then lots and lots of baking.  I'm going to teach Joe how to make the family favorite recipe, baked apples.  So then he'll be able to bask in their brown sugary goodness whenever he wants.  Hopefully Sherri and Greg can come with us, I really miss them both!

I've been knitting my little fingers off, trying to finish up some blanket projects before winter gets here.  I'm such a dork.  And I've been thinking about setting up a page to showcase my projects as I finish them.  Anyways, add it to the list!

Well, I know that there's so much I haven't talked about, but I can't put off my work any longer this morning so I'm going to have to close here.  I'll try to be more frequent about my updates.  I know a few of you read my updates religiously... I really appreciate it!!

Habt einen guten Tag!!  Aufwiedersehen! :)
