| Tuesday, 1/18/2005 Stacy left yesterday morning and I've been trying to catch up on sleep ever since. ;) We had a great time, and when she comes back, if she's single when she does, then she's going to be attacked by at least six of Joe's single male friends! And we have successfully identified that Stacy is NOT a lesbian. Apparently that was a big question? I don't know, but it became a running joke nonetheless. Friday night we went to a party at Rich, Zach, and Ben's house in Poughkeepsie. Word to the wise, when one of your friends dares you to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon, just say no! Luckily, I avoided the unfortunate fate, but others weren't so lucky. It was a fun party and Stacy is hilarious when she's had too much to drink. But I successfully fulfilled my job description, Stacy's clothes stayed on. ;) Before we left the party, Stacy told Rich that she thought he was pretty (ie. "hot"... much to our encouragement). Saturday we were going to head to the city, but we ended up sleeping until 1pm. Then when we were finally ready to go, we missed our train so we ended up not going on Saturday. Instead we went to Juliet's to play pool with Joe, Rich, Zach, Rob, Carlo, and another Joe. After playing pool for a couple hours, we went back to Rich's house and played Apples to Apples. Stacy won a lot and poor Joe just couldn't seem to get any cards. Zach informed Stacy that if she got bored later, she knew where to find him. *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge* Then we were going to head to the city on Sunday, but we slept until 2pm. So unfortunately, Stacy didn't get to see New York City, tourist style. Well, she didn't seem too disappointed and it'll give her a reason to come back and visit me again, maybe during spring break or during the summer. We checked out the Village Tearoom on Sunday evening and they had the most amazing tea, food, and dessert. I highly recommend it to anyone. Throughout the week, we managed to watch the whole 1st season of Sex and the City, but Stacy likes to talk while she's watching tv because she can both talk and pay attention to what's happening, but I can't do both, so I think I'm going to watch the 1st season over again. It's been great having both Barbara and Stacy come to visit, and I'm looking forward to more people coming up here... but I think I need a couple weeks of rest and recooperation time now. I need to get some things done around my place, and everyone needs a little down time every once in a while too. My mom's birthday is in a couple weeks, so I think I'll be heading home to MD relatively soon. Ok, time to do some chores and be productive... Ciao! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Friday, 1/14/2005 "one officer and two tequilla shots later... oy." So here's the story... Last night Stacy and I went into New Paltz to find a place to go dancing, have a drink or two, etc. etc. but everything was dead. So we walked around trying to find something to do, didn't find anything exciting, and ended up leaving. Well, on my way home, I was pulled over... and had no idea why. Well, it was because I hadn't used my left turn signal at the light before turning left. (Apparently it was quota time at the local precinct.) Anyways, I'm thinking "You have to be kidding me, isn't there some drunk driver you could harass?" But yeah, he asked for my license and registration, where I was going, how long I've lived in the NY area, where was I coming from, had I been drinking, etc. etc. Theoretically he could have slapped me with 3 tickets and a work order to have my turn signals fixed, but instead I got off with a verbal warning. Well, I was still really shaken up, so after I got home, I had two shots of tequilla to calm me down. I'm just glad we hadn't gotten a drink or something, because then he would have had me out of my car, in the rain, doing the breathalizer test. Oh, but Bill's of the opinion that I got off because I'm a girl and I was wearing a low-cut shirt. Apparently cleavage is good for one thing. OK, that's all for now... what will this weekend bring? Hmmm.... ;) Ciao! |
